I went through my day to day life without hearing from Bozer, or Mac for that matter. Which was weird considering I still had Mac's jacket. Every time I went to their house to return the jacket, no one was home! I mean I wouldn't complain, the jacket that he had tossed at me was comfortable as shit so I more than ok with holding onto it for a few more days.

It was weird though because I also tried calling Bozer to see if everything's ok, even he didn't pick up the phone! Not that the guy's not allowed to have a life or anything, but his phone is always attached at the hip! After trying for a week, I eventually stopped. Figured he'd get back to me when he could. Besides, I did have my very small, almost minuscule life to attend to.

Three weeks have passed since Mac had given me the jacket. I'm going to be honest with you guys here, I've used that Jacket almost every single day. What, it's a great jacket ok?! Because, I'm pretty Mac wouldn't mind, at least, I don't think he'd mind.

Right now, I'm at my shop taking inventory of what supplies I have. Meaning I'm on a ladder, holding on to it with one hand while I write on a clipboard with the other. It's a good thing I have insurance because putting me in high places where I need to balance myself never ends well.

Just as I started counting the fake blood on the shelves, the bell over the door rings. Really, someone chooses NOW to enter the building?! It's been dead the entire day!

"Hello, may I help you?" I yelled, straining my body at the same time as I stretched across the shelves. Having half of my body off the ladder was probably not a smart idea.

"Raelynn, it's Mac. I'm here to grab the jacket I let you borrow?" The sound of his voice startled me, causing me to lose my balance. Well shit, this isn't going to end well. In a matter of seconds, my body fell off the ladder, knocking down the fake blood along the way. I hit the ground, my fall being braced by a conventionally placed bag of packing peanuts near the bottom of the latter.

I winced in as I rolled over to my side on the ground. "Ok, that wasn't fun."

"Raelynn, are you ok?" There was concern in his voice as I heard him speak up. Looking at my arm, I saw that there was a small spot of blood on my arm. Other than that, I was unharmed. Woo, that's a record for me!

"I just fell off a ladder, got some blood on my arm but other than that I'm good." I didn't hear a response from him as I got off the ground surprisingly easy. Man, I just impress myself every day, don't I?!?

Mac came rushing into the room, quickly making his way over towards me within a matter of seconds. Somewhere in the time, it takes him to get from door to me, a rag appeared in his hand.

He wasn't even panting as appeared in front of me. How often did he run at lighting fucking speeds?

Gently, he grabbed a hold of the arm with the blood on it. With the other hand, he started going over the bloodied area with the rag. "I'm so sorry Rae- I didn't mean for you to fall off the ladder-
"

"Did you just call me Rae?" I gave Mac a strange look before turning my eyes back to the rag on my arm, which was slowly being dyed red. No one besides Bozer and MAYBE my mother have called me Rae in my entire lifespan.

A smile appeared on his face, giving me a glimpse at his almost perfectly white teeth. "I guess I did." Before I could get the chance to respond, a corn smell began to waft up into the air. He must have no smelled it because he kept cleaning the blood off my arm with the utmost care. I knew what that smell was. God, I was more of a klutz then I thought I was huh?

I pulled my arm away from his grasp as I grabbed the rag from him. With a little more power, I continued scrubbing my arm.

"Any particular reason why you're scrubbing at you're arm hard enough to take three layers of skin off?"
