In the days following the break up, I went back to my normal routine (I.E working and only leaving house unless it was absolutely necessarily) With the Christmas holiday coming up, I usually get a lot of orders for product during this time. Apparently, a lot of people want fake arms and blood for their Christmas celebrations.
Like today, I got an order from this one woman asking for blue colored contacts and fake bloodied arms. Have no idea what she was going to use them for but saying she was paying me, I wasn't in the position to ask.
I've been making so much fake blood, it's been caked into my skin. It literally looks like I murdered someone. Thank god cops don't come into the shop otherwise I think I might find myself in a jailhouse singing jingle bells.
As of currently, I was arm deep in a cast for the bloodied arms. At one point, I used to actually feel my arms as the cast dried around it, but now I've just become numb to the feeling. Besides, the plaster drying around your skin has almost a calming feeling. Wasn't great for the skin but you can't win all of your battles.
As I stood there, my arm hanging over the side of my work table, the bell over the door rang. God, why do my guests pick the absolute worst time to show up?! I can't even lend him a hand!
Bozer walks in not long after, carrying a small duffle bag into his hand.
"Hey Raelynn, I see you're a little-occupied at the moment." At the angle I was at, I managed to turn around to glare at Bozer.
"Bozer, did I ever tell you how I hated your stupid jokes?"
"Every day since you've known me." The smile on Bozer's face faded as he stared at my arm, covered in the drying plaster. "I know I haven't talked to you since everything- well since you and Mac- decided to end-"
"It's alright Man, you can say it. Mac and I broke up. That sort of thing happens it every day. I did what had to be done." I watched as Bozer raised an eyebrow before answering.
"And am I suppose to believe that line?"
"It's all I've got at the moment." Carefully I started to pull my arm from the plaster. If I didn't do it carefully, I would be missing patches of hair on my arm and I don't know about you, but I really don't want that. As I slowly pulled my arm from the now solid cast, Bozer began speaking once again.
"I'm heading back to my mom's after I leave this place for Christmas. I know you don't have anywhere to go for Christmas-"
"And what makes you think I don't have anywhere to go for Christmas?" All he had to do was give me a knowing look to get me to mutter "Alright, fair" underneath my breath.
"I want you to come see my mom with me for Christmas. Come on Raelynn, she misses you! You haven't seen her in ages!"
"Well, she's just going to have to miss me a little harder to get through this holiday season."
"Alright, if you don't want to visit my arm for Christmas that's fine. I'll just tell her that the girl she considers to be her own flesh and blood won't come see her for Christmas. She'll be absolutely devastated-" Bozer leisurely began making his way to the front door, letting the guilt set into my stomach. Damn it, he knows I don't like being guilted when it came to his mother. Only because I gave in every single time.
"Alright fine, let me properly store this, go home and pack a bag, and I'll meet you at your mother's place!" I heard Bozer laugh as he briefly turned around to see the look on my face.
"I knew you'd come around! I'll see you in the next hour or so!" I hated when Bozer used his mother against me. Because now I was going to spend Christmas with a big, happy family. All when I just wanted to spend it alone, thinking about what my life has come to as of recently.
