48 Hours left... (Third person POV)

After having the heart to heart conversation with Jack, Mac decided to take a walk and clear his head. He figured it was probably for the best. He couldn't look for Raelynn in full capacity if his mind was filled with anger and frustration. Now was not the time to have something cloud his judgment.

While Mac went on his mind clearing expedition, Jack had walked back into the conference room. Riley was already set up and ready to go as she sat in front of her computer setup, Bozer sitting next to her as he presumably helped her with whatever she was doing.

Before Jack could even open his mouth, Riley had gotten the edge word in. "I've tried triangulating the IP address and the signal of the video feed."

Jack raised an eyebrow as he glanced at Riley. "What do you mean tried?"

She sighed before continuing. "In latent terms, I've tried using the cell towers around where the signal from the video to get a location on what they could possibly be. The bad news is Murdoc's good. He's got the signal bouncing from hundreds of locations in a matter of seconds, I can't get anything to stick long enough for me to start a triangulation. I'm sorry Jack, I'm trying my best here- but he knows what he's doing."

He put a sympathetic smile on his face as he walked over towards Riley, placing a hand on her shoulder. "Don't worry about it, I didn't expect you to be able to pinpoint them otherwise it wouldn't be true Murdoc fashion." As if he could somehow read Riley's mind, he gave her shoulder a pat before removing his hand entirely. "Mac's not going to understand."

"I've started combing through traffic cams throughout the state of California, looking for anyone that could even remotely look like him."

"Good, the quicker we find him the quicker Raelynn can come back. I'm going to talk with a few of my undercover friends in the military, put the word out to them. By the end of the hour, Murdoc will have the entire state of California hunting for his ass."

47 Hours left.... (Raelynn's POV)

I felt relatively normal after waking up, only feeling slightly groggy from whatever this 'Murdoc' creep injected me with. I hadn't even been up 20 minutes when I was pulled out of the room by one of his goons, dressed oddly similar to him. What, did all guys in secret assassin organization have to dress like they were a hacker straight from an early 2000's action movie?

Murdoc had instructed the goon to take me back to my place, telling him that I had 30 minutes to gather what I might need or want in the next 48 hours, whatever that's suppose to be. You know, for being a crazy sociopath, his hospitality skills are high end.

After opening the front door to my place, the goon had pushed me through the doorway. With a thick Jersey accent, the goon told me that I had '30 minutes to grab what I needed or else I was going to pay the consequences. With the fire lit underneath, I rushed around as I packed a duffle bag, not carrying what I was stuffing inside. Various clothes, knickknacks and other things had been pushed into the bag.

As I put everything in the bag, my mind thought back to the whole situation. This morning, I was being dropped off at work by my boyfriend, who had just hard-hearted proposed to me, and then I was kidnapped and now being held hostage. I held back the tears as the year had started flashing through my mind.

Memories of time spent with Mac and everybody flashed through my brain, both good and times. The one image that kept replaying in my mind was Christmas with Bozer's family, more specifically the night I told Mac I was adopted under the influence of spiked eggnog. The fact that the two of went through everything that had happened beforehand and we still managed to stay together stuns me to this day. We weren't going to give up without a fight, and we didn't. Just like how I'm not going to now.
