I never knew that time could past by so quickly. I guess when life comes down to the monotonous routine, you just get lost in everything going on- and before you know it, six months have passed. I guess a lot has happened in six months. I've gotten back all of the money I lost in robbery thanks to couple of private business's that wanted big orders! Ha ha, whose laughing now?!? On the other side of things, Mac and I have been dating for six months. Yeah, not long after he told me he thought he might love me, we ended up getting together.

He's great- when I do see him that is. It seems like every other week he's gone on one of the business trips to god knows where. What kind of business has you gone more times than you're actually home? I've even asked him who he works for or even what he does, he avoids the question every single time! At this point, I've stopped asking about it because it's just aggravating as shit. Here it is, he knows pretty much everything about me with a few exceptions. The only thing I've been able to get out of him is the whole situation with Nikki which he still doesn't even want to talk about! I never thought being with him would be so fucking angering.

I've vowed that today would not be the day to think about this. It's our sixth month anniversary and he told me to meet him at this restaurant in town. I'm afraid to admit that I actually spent an undisclosed amount of money on a dress for this evening. It was a strapless maroon dress that made me look classy, but not that I was trying too hard. Even though I kind of am, I don't want to give off- never mind the whole thing.

I've been sitting at the table for 10 minutes now, waiting for him to show up. I wasn't growing impatient, much. Another one of my pet peeves, people showing up late when they said they were on their way 20 minutes ok. Unless you somehow got lost!

Goosebumps rose on my skin as I felt a pair of hands land on my bare shoulders. "Sorry I'm late, traffic was unbelievable on the way here." I heard Mac's voice as he moved from behind me, to the vacant seat in front of me.

The smile on his face was undeniable as he stared at me, a certain sparkle to his eyes. "I've never seen you wear that dress before. It looks beautiful on you."

I somehow managed to stop the heat from rising to my face as I sat there. "This old thing? I happened to be digging through my closet earlier and I figured why not."

"You've got a tag on it, by the neck." He raised a finger to the side of his neck, indicating that there was something there on my own neck. What?!? I thought I took all of the tags off this thing!

I rose a hand up to the side of my neck, the panic beginning to rise in my eyes as I couldn't find the tag. I only had to search for it for a few seconds before I was the smirk rising on his face, laughter now taking over his eyes.

"There's no tag, is there?"

"Nope, but it's nice to know you went through the trouble of getting a new dress just for tonight." He leaned over the table, brushing his lips against my cheek before sitting back down in his seat.

"I'm going to use the bathroom before the waiter gets here." I stood up from the table, grabbing my purse as well.

"Ok, thanks for narrating that to me Raelynn- appreciate it." He gave me a thumbs up, which I did was roll my eyes as I pushed in my chair.

"You know you love me!"

"That's debatable!"

(Meanwhile, while Raelynn's in the Bathroom, Third Person POV).

There was nothing but admiration and love in Mac's eyes as he watched Raelynn walk away from the table and towards the bathroom. He couldn't help the feeling of absolute guilt start to form in the pit of his stomach. There was nothing he hated more than lying to her. He just couldn't tell her, not yet.
