They entered through a side door and as Olivia set foot inside, all of her worries slowly faded away and the man felt her shoulders relax. His heart warmed as they entered the depths of the old theater and he brought her to a room with a red rose and a black ribbon on the door. Olivia was only half paying attention, her thoughts in total bliss, as he guided her through the doorway and onto the bed inside and locked the door after he left.

Olivia suddenly woke up from her trance and looked around the room. "What the hell!?" she yelled angrily into the small room.

"You are home now my Angel." The man explained through one of the walls.

Olivia spun around to the source, "No, this is not my home," she retorted.

"You may never leave so it may as well be!" The voice thundered through another wall. Olivia heard heavy steps walking away. She sat down feeling broken and began to cry. A few moments later a soft knock could be heard on her door and Olivia looked up with tears still making their way down her cheeks.

"What do you want?" She sniffled and tried to hide that she was crying.

A figure entered the room, he had broad shoulders and a long coat with a black cape. His chin was well chiseled and in his hand he held another rose with a black ribbon, which he left on her desk. He left the door ajar as he approached Olivia. "Are you okay?" the man inquired gently and wiped a tear from her cheek. He noticed the paper cut on her temple but decided it was wise not to say anything right then.

Olivia sniffled and brought her hand up to take his hand from her cheek. "What do you care?" She spat and scooted away from him.

The man's blue eyes softened "I care because you are here now, whether you want to be or not" he said and brought up a second hand up to caress her wet cheek. She is so much more beautiful in person. He thought to himself and smiled. If only she could see what I see...

Olivia looked up and stared at the rose on her desk "What's with the rose?" She asked and wiped the last tear off of her face.

"I figured you would like a house warming gift"

Olivia looked back at the man and shrugged "I don't know" she murmured.

The man smiled, thinking that he was gaining her trust. "Well I'm glad you are becoming comfortable here" he beamed

Olivia tilted her head to the side "Was that you on the roof earlier?" she frowned and pushed her curls behind her ear.

The man squinted playfully "What roof?" he scratched his head and chuckled at his own joke. He waited a moment for Olivia to laugh too but she wasn't amused. "Yeah" he finally replied.

Olivia nodded slowly "When can I go home?"

The man shook his head "You are home, Angel" he tried to caress Olivia's face once again but she turned away and shook her head no.

"Let me be alone" she said simply and scratched at her paper cut, which was starting to itch.

"If you say so" The man replied and stood up.

Olivia put her hand on his "Wait, what do I call you?" She sputtered without realizing it.

The man's blue eyes twinkled fondly "my name is Torrence." He left the room, leaving the door open, and whisking down the hall. His cape swept across the floor behind him as he headed to who knows where.

Olivia poked her head out and watched him turn down some hallway and disappear. She took a tentative step outside and glanced both ways down the hall. She took a few more steps out and realized that she wasn't really in a hallway but in another room and the room she was in, was a small part. Like a square within a square, her room was the center of it. That explains his voice coming from everywhere, she thought to herself and continued her exploration of the building. She turned down several hallways and went up a few flights of stairs to find herself on the roof.

She leaned over, tired from all the walking and stairs she had done that day, and looked up into the sky. The rain had cleared up but the ground still was wet. The sky had cleared itself of all clouds and a moon, the size of a cheese wheel, hung silently among the twinkling stars. She felt eyes travel down her figure and turned around to see nothing. She shivered and rubbed her hands together and turned back to watch the stars.
