-The next morning-
Olivia slowly opened her eyes, the sun light poked gently through the white curtains and illuminated the room. She slowly sat up and stretched her arms above her head. The bed she laid in had a curtain surrounding it, as if to isolate her from the rest of the room. A piano played from a secret somewhere, waking up Olivia . It was a bright song, one that was made to get your heart to start to race, like falling in love for the first time.
Torrence knocked on Olivia's door, interrupting the music. "Come in" Olivia croaked. Stupid morning voice, she scolded herself and gave a polite smile to Torrence as he entered her room.
"Did you sleep well?" Torrence's voice came out like a purring growl. His morning voice only affected him by making his voice an octave deeper. Olivia nodded her head 'yes' and sat up in her bed, pushing the blankets away from her body. She was still wearing yesterday's outfit but she didn't seem to mind anyway. "I'll be downstairs making breakfast" Torrence informed her and exited the room. She could hear his footsteps going down the hallway and down the stairs.
As if on cue, the song from earlier started back up where it left off. It played at the same tempo of Torrence's footsteps and faded as he got farther away. Was that song for him? Olivia shivered. Why him? I don't even like him... or do I? I don't even know him how could I like him, he kidnapped me. Does he like me? He hasn't known me that long has he, was he stalking me? Olivia glanced at the door. She eyed it wearily as she stood up and walked over to it. She stopped right inside and peered down at the handle. There was no telling what she would find once she opened this door.
The door's golden handle gleamed at her from its place on the door. Olivia put her hand on the knob and slowly turned it. It made no noise as if it had been recently oiled and the door opened up without resistance and Olivia poked her head out into the hallway tentatively. The oily smells of breakfast wafted through the air and stuck to the inside of her nose and throat. It wasn't exactly a bad smell but Olivia didn't like to have to smell it for very long so she made her way to the roof.
Right before she opened the door to go outside she heard footsteps coming up the stairs and a faint melody started to play. Torrence came up the stairs with a bed tray in both arms. He stopped outside of Olivia's room and set it down. He rubbed his hands on his pants and combed his fingers through his hair hastily. He checked his reflection in the glass of water from the tray and decided he looked presentable.
Olivia covered her mouth with her hand. She began to smile and felt her cheeks and the ends of her ears begin to gain warmth. Torrence knocked lightly on the door "Olivia, I have breakfast ready for you, may I come in?"
"Over here" Olivia called from the door. Torrence glanced down the hallway and had a look on his face that resembled a deer in headlights.
"What are you doing down there?!" He boommed and began a hostile stride towards her. Olivia felt her whole body shrink and she gained tunnel vision as she opened the door to outside. The air licked at the sides of her face as she ran across the rooftop trying to find a place to hide There was nowhere to go. Then, Torrence burst through the door, "Where did you go!?" He roared and instantly his vision caught Olivia.
She had run to the other end of the roof and was curled up in a little ball, lightly rocking forward and back. Her hands covered her ears and she was crying profusely. "I didn't mean it, I didn't mean it, I didn't mean it..." She whispered over and over to herself.
Torrence's anger disappeared and he approached her gently. "Olivia, poor Angel, im sorry..." He tried to calm her down. When that didn't work, he reached down to pull the hair out of Olivia's face. To his surprise, she didn't react and kept rocking and muttering to herself. He then put his hand onto her shoulder and could feel the bones underneath they were so fragile and cold compared to his hand.
He took a step back from Olivia and sat down. He positioned himself to be about three feet from her and waited for her to have her emotions. After a moment, Olivia lifted her head and scratched at the cut on her head. "It hurts" she muttered and looked up at Torrence. "I think I need a doctor" She continued and stood up slowly with her hand covering the scratch.
Torrence stood up slowly, and tried his best to to scare her again. "Let me see it" He said and took a step towards Olivia with his hand outstretched.
She gave it a suspicious look but accepted it anyway and slowly removed her hand from her head to reveal a bright red rash, with small puss pockets on the whole side of her face.
Torrence's eyes widened and he reached to touch her face. It was bumpy and raw. "I'll get you that doctor." He told her and turned around promptly, "Come" he called to her and swept through the door. Olivia followed close behind him through the halls and out one of the doors that she didn't even know was there.
"Wait," she called weakly and put her arms out in front of her to feel around for her surroundings. Torrence turned and saw her eyes were wide open and her arms outstretched in front of her. "Why did you turn the lights off?" She asked as she bumped into a lamp that was turned on.
Torrence came to her side immediately and picked her up, bridal style "You are okay, you are going to be fine" he repeated over and over trying to reassure himself more than Olivia. He whisked her down the streets and stopped at the hospital. He opened the door and placed her on the floor. "Someone help, please!" He called and almost instantly a flurry of nurses surrounded her and before Torrence could even think she had already been put onto a bed and wheeled down the hall.
When he tried to follow them one of the nurses stopped him, "family only," she stopped him.
