That morning Jayce, Coral, Trace and Tara all said farewell to Gabriel. Coral was crying constantly knowing her child would be far away from her. She knew this was his choice and he must remain in the leafeon kingdom, but that still didn't mean she liked her children to leave home for good.
As they began their trip to the slyveon territory, a delibird flew to the traveling group and presented a letter to Jayce from in its bag. Jayce took the letter and opened it, as he scanned over the paper reading every word carefully he had a shocked look on his face before he turned to his family to tell them the news.
"Looks like we are going to have to turn back. We have to go to the Vaporeon territory and bring along three of our children and a few royal guards from the vaporeon and jolteon guardians to come with us to the slyveon kingdom. There might be some kind of problem between the glaceons and slyveons so we need extra protection." He said looking at the small group who gave him curious looks.
He lead the way back to the vaporeon territory border where they were supposed to meet their two sons and one daughter. One was a vaporeon named Jake, and two were jolteons one named Jayce Jr. who was also the oldest son, and the other was a female named Rachel.
With several hours of traveling by foot the four family members reached the border. The leafeon guards saw who they were and allowed them to exit the territory into the Vaporeon territory where there was a village that their family members and royal guards were waiting in a hotel called Vaporeon's Tail V that was located on a beach.
It was own by one of his sisters a vaporeon named Reef. She was a real estate agent for the beach area and enjoyed the business she was in.
The vaporeons took pride in their white sandy beaches and the views they have of the sea believing that it was the greatest way to attract tourists from all the kingdoms.
Trace loved it when his family traveled there, for under normal circumstances that meant he could go swimming and he enjoyed that type of activity almost as much as any vaporeon did.
"Mom are we going to have time to swim?" Asked Trace
"I don't believe we will Trace. We are here to pick up your brothers and sister first before we can plan anything. And don't go running off on us!" She said giving him a stern look.
Trace only smiled as he wagged his tail when he thought about how well his mother knew him. She knew he could hardly resist going into the water, which made his family question why he wanted to be a jolteon and not a vaporoen.
When they arrived at the hotel they saw the three members they were supposed to meet with ten vaporeon guards and ten jolteon guards as well.
When Jayce and Coral saw their children they immediately went over to them and embraced each one before getting on to business.
"Mom and dad, it has been some time. We have missed you so much. " Said Rachel containing her excitement.
"Yes, we are happy that we are able to accompany you on this journey to the slyveon kingdom. We hope that it will be a good and peaceful one." Said Jayce Jr. who was always serious.
Jake was busy looking over the four members of the family and realized Gabriel wasn't among them. He looked up at his father and asked, "Where is Gabriel? Did you leave him behind at the house?"
Coral looked away after hearing her son's name. She didn't answer leaving the others to wonder if something bad had happened until Jayce finally answered.
"He decided to become a leafeon and remain there so he can become a leafeon elite guard." Jayce said.
"Oh. Wish we could have been there to see that. He always seemed more into grass types." Said Rachel.
Trace heard more footsteps coming and looked behind him only to see eight flareons approach them. He smiled when he realized his brother Han was among the group.
"Hans! Your here!" Shouted Trace in happiness making everyone turn towards the flareons.
Han was one of his brothers that Trace actually liked being around. The others were either boring mostly boring to him since they evolved, not that he didn't care for them, he just like Han and Tara a lot more than the other ones.
"Hello Trace. I couldn't let everyone leave for the Slyveon territory and not let me have some fun too ." Said Han smiling at his little brother and ruffling the hair on his head.
"I missed you Hans. I am so glad to see you." Trace said while hugging his older brother.
Hans blushed but hugged his little brother while the rest of his family walked up to the two. Jayce shook his head as his youngest son made quite the noise seeing his older brother.
Hans was only twenty-five years old and was the twin brother of Jayce Jr. who was the first born. Hans went to the flareon territory to become a soldier for their kingdom at the age of eighteen, and at this point in time he moved up in the ranks so quickly that the elites took interest in him when he was only twenty.
Jayce Jr. who was also an elite for the jolteon kingdom moved up almost as fast as Hans did in the flareon kingdom. Both brothers were highly competitive and kept things at a professional level as far as elites go.
"How are things going Elite Jayce?" Asked Hans while hiding a smug look. Jayce looked at Hans careful to keep his tone professional.
"Everything is fine Elite Hans." Said Jayce Jr.
Everyone present could feel tension in the air between the two Pokémon. Those who grew up with Jayce Jr. and Hans knew the rivalry between the two could get fierce. In fact both brothers took almost everything from trying to get a new record on a training course to eating.
Trace looked at both brothers unsure what to do. Luckily their father and mother knew how to handle this.
"Alright whose ready to get a start to the Slyveon kingdom?" Asked Jayce who was looking for anyway to stop this small feud.
"Yes sir Ambassador Jayce." Said Jayce Jr. quickly.
The other guards all sat at attention ready to go with their superiors. When they all began to walk, Han and the flareons were in one side, Jayce Jr. and his guards were in the other side. They made frequent stops to either rest or eat during their long exhausting walk and even stopping along the way through the Leafeon territory to stay a night so the young could rest.
After a few days of traveling through the leafeon territory, and not stopping to see Gabriel though Coral secretly kept that idea hidden inside her heart, they finally arrived to the Slyveon territory border. After the guards confirmed the identity of the ambassadors and the elites, they made they way to the kingdom of the slyveons.
