Jungkook

As Jungkook had waited for a few more minutes, another waiter had cleaned up the mess that was spilled, and this time it was Taehyung himself who arrived with the food to the people waiting.

"Sorry for the wait," Taehyung smiled politely to them.

"It's no problem, really." Taehyung thanked them before returning to his previous seat across rom Jungkook.

"Sorry about that," he said with a smile.

Honestly, Taehyung could get away with anything if he just apologised with his beautiful smile like that, in Jungkook's opinion. "That's okay," Jungkook said coolly, "accidents happens."

Taehyung nodded. "Unfortunately, especially with this boy."

"Clumsy?"

The blond male sighed. "I think he's tired. I'm starting to think he's overworking himself with school and work, but when I suggested to him for less working hours, he literally begged me not to." Taehyung stopped talking as he looked surprised with himself. "Sorry, I don't know why I told you that."

Jungkook couldn't help but laugh. "Oddly, I hear a lot of people tell me that."

This made Taehyung laugh as well. "Oh, I'm Kim Taehyung by the way. I don't usually make conversations like this with customers, so I completely forgot to introduce myself."

Jungkook grinned. He was happy to hear that he got special treatment. "I'm Jeon Jungkook."

"I'm sorry for the wait," suddenly the same waiter buy from earlier arrived back to their table. "Are you ready for your order?"

Jungkook had to glance at his watch to see if he'd have enough time to eat, but it was still thirty minutes left, and so proceeded with his order.

"Uhm, I'd like to have a club sandwich, thanks."

The waiter, who was named Park Jimin, as Jungkook could see his nametag now, nodded and took his leave again.

"Not to brag, but we make the best sandwiches around here," Taehyung whispered cheekily, chuckling at himself, which Jungkook did as well.

There was something about this male that was so interesting, though he couldn't quite place what it was. Maybe it was his smile? Maybe it was the way he talked with Jungkook as if they were old friends catching up? Or maybe it was the way Jungkook felt his heart flutter slightly every time their gazes met?

"So, Jeon Jungkook, as I was interrupted earlier," he started, catching the younger's attention, "do you work? Or are you younger than I think?"

Jungkook giggled at his remark. "I just opened a restaurant with my childhood friend, also my business partner."

That seemed to have caught his attention. "Oh? May I ask where?"

"Just across the street from here," Jungkook smiled. "Gochi Gojyeo."

Taehyung's smile disappeared completely. "Is that so?"

It surprised Jungkook by his sudden change. "Is something wrong?"

"Not at all. Excuse me for a moment." He stood up as he left Jungkook alone. Park Jimin had returned back with his sandwich, not dropping it this time, and smiled he said, "enjoy your meal."

For the rest of the time, Taehyung hadn't come returned even once before Jungkook had to finished his meal and paid.

As he stood by the counter to pay, he couldn't help himself from asking. "Is your boss still here? Kim Taehyung?"
