Taehyung
This morning Jungkook came for his morning coffee as usual, but what Taehyung didn't expect was meeting Jungkook's friend as well, and he was so affectionate towards Jungkook that it made Taehyung almost mad - almost.
His name was apparently Jung Hoseok, and Taehyung made a mental note that he needed to be aware around him; he was way too clingy, and he even called him "sweetheart".
The thought made Taehyung frown.
"Jealous much?" Namjoon teased as he saw the frown on Taehyung's face, probably witnessed the scene as well.
"Shut up," Taehyung growled before returning back to work.
Jungkook
When the two males made their way to the restaurant and opened it, Jungkook purposely avoided Hoseok, just to let him know that he was annoyed, though the dense male didn't realise why.
"What's wrong, Jungkookie?" he asked him when he finally managed to corner him.
"Nothing," he muttered as he avoided his gaze.
"I can clearly tell something's bothering you," he said. "Just tell me."
"Please don't do that again," he finally said, though his friend had no idea what he was talking about.
"Do what? Did I do something wrong? Please tell me if I messed up so I won't be fired," he said, rather panicking.
"That's not what I meant," Jungkook sighed.
"What then?" Hoseok asked impatiently.
"What you did in front of Taehyungie hyung."
"What did I do?" Hoseok asked innocently.
"You were way too affectionate. You made it seem like we're going out, which I definitely don't want him to think."
Hoseok's smirk grew as he listened to Jungkook explain himself. "Don't worry, I was only making him jealous."
Jungkook frowned. "Jealous? I have no idea if he likes me or not. He rather looked irritated, and I certainly don't want him to be annoyed with me."
Hoseok just started laughing at his friend. "It wasn't you he was annoyed with," he grinned, "it was me."
"Don't you want to be friends with him?" Jungkook asked.
"What does that have to do with anything? We can be friends once you two start going out."
Jungkook's cheeks turned pink by his comment. "What makes you think we'll ever go out?" he asked shyly.
Hoseok rolled his eyes at his question. "I'm not even gonna bother to answer that," he just said with a sigh as he turned around and returned back to work.
After a few hours, lunch was just around the corner, and Jungkook was wondering why Taehyung hadn't stopped by yet as he suspected his lunch had already passed.
Jungkook was hoping it was becoming a routine got them to visit each other during their breaks, whether they'd eat there or not. But, when Jungkook's lunch had arrived, he still had plans to visit the café, and just as he took off his apron and headed towards the front door, he was surprised to see the elder enter the restaurant just as he was about to exit.
"Taehyungie hyung?" Jungkook said, rather surprised to see him.
"Hey," he greeted with a beautiful smile on his face.
"What are you doing here? Haven't you already had your lunch break?" Jungkook asked.
"I asked Namjoon hyung to switch with me," he replied, though Jungkook still didn't understand.
"Why?" he asked stupidly.
"Well, I was thinking we could have lunch together," he explained shyly.
"But we already kind of do, don't we? We sit with each other when the other eats?" he said, though it came more out as a question.
"Yeah, that's why I wanted us to have it at the same time," he smiled, "so we could go someplace else and eat together?"
Jungkook's eyes widened and he felt his face heating up. Like a date...?
"Or, perhaps, you don't want to go somewhere else?" Taehyung asked hesitantly when Jungkook wasn't answering.
"Oh, yes!" he suddenly said, almost yelling, which gobsmacked the elder. "I'd love to go and eat someplace else!"
Taehyung's face lit up and they both exited the restaurant and went further down the street to find a place to eat their lunch – together.
"So, where do you recommend?" Jungkook asked the elder. "I'm not familiar with the street, so I haven't tried anywhere else than yours."
Taehyung thought for a moment as he glanced around. "I really like Chopstix. It's a Chinese restaurant, and they got great food, both for dinner and lunch," Taehyung explained, which Jungkook happily agreed to.
As they entered the restaurant, they were placed at a table for two further back by the windows. They both scanned through the menu before ordering to the waitress.
"Looks great so far," Jungkook complimented the place as he looked around at the atmosphere and decoration. He also smelled different scents from the kitchen and other tables people had ordered, and suddenly he felt as if he was starving to death.
"It gets even better when the food arrives," Taehyung grinned.
As they waited for their food, Jungkook couldn't help but steal glances of the elder in front of him. He didn't want to look too much into it, but it really felt like a date. A lunch date.
But the more he thought about it, the more his cheeks flushed a deeper shade of pink, which Taehyung eventually noticed.
"Are you okay?" he asked worriedly. "You look warm."
"I'm fine, just a bit thirsty," he said as he quickly poured himself some water in his glass and started chugging the whole glass.
Taehyung frowned slightly, but it was quickly replaced with a smile afterwards. "It's nice going someplace else other than our jobs' place," he said as played with his thumbs on the table. "It feels as if we're always been watched by the others when we're there, and I prefer to be a bit more private when we're together."
Jungkook almost started to choke on his own salvia. So it really is like a date?
"I – I feel so too," Jungkook agreed, though he started to stutter when being nervous. "It feels nice, really nice."
Taehyung's smile grew wider and they just stared in each other's eyes, only to be broken the waitress came back with their food. "I really feel like I'm interrupting an important date, but I'm guessing you'll want your food?" she joked as she placed their plates in front of them. "Enjoy your meals," she smiled before walking away again, leaving the two males embarrassed by her comment, shyly avoiding each other's gazes.
"Hey, so I was wondering if you'd like to go watch a movie this Saturday? There's a new movie coming out, called Paracitte that I want to see," he said, which instantly made Jungkook's face lighten up.
"Yeah, I'd love to," he smiled as he nodded along.
Taehyung smiled in return. "Great, I'll text you when I find out what time and I could come and pick you up, if you'd like?"
Jungkook nodded again. This time it must be as a date.
