Taehyung

When Mrs Kim had left the café to by her dinner at the neighbour's, Taehyung tried to spy from the office window, though he didn't get to see much from there; all he could see was his mother's back and some customers in another window sitting by a table, but he couldn't see Jungkook. He couldn't even tell if he was there or if he had left already. But after some time, he saw his mother exit the restaurant with the food in a bag as she made her way back to the café. Not longer after, she had appeared back up in the office.

"I ordered enough for both of us," she said calmly as she sat down on the opposite side of the desk and placed the food on top of it.

"I'm not hungry," Taehyung said, though it wasn't entirely true. It was soon his lunch break, but he didn't want to admit how much he enjoyed their neighbour's food, whether it was to his mother, or himself.

"Come on, just eat it. I know you eat too little, so eat a meal with your mother, will you? Or do you want me to continue to worry about you when you've gotten even slimmer than last time I saw you?"

Taehyung sighed defeated as he nodded and grabbed the other fork and started to dig in. He did indeed enjoy the food - it melted right in his mouth, and he ended up eating half of it.

"Wow, they really got quality," Mrs Kim chuckled as she patted her own belly. "I need to order next time I pay a visit."

"When's that?" Taehyung asked curiously.

"I'm not sure. I need to return to the states soon to continue my treatment," she explained.

Taehyung felt his heart sink. "...how soon?"

"Tomorrow," she smiled apologetic. "I was allowed here for a day to see my son, but I was only allowed because your father managed to convince them. But one day was their limit. I barely have the strength to walk as much as I've been doing today. I feel completely exhausted," she explained to him, suddenly her energy dropping rapidly.

"Mom, you okay?" he asked worriedly.

"I'm okay, Taehyungie. I just need to rest for a bit. Do you still have my old sofa in your dad's office?"

The office they were in now was previously by Mrs Kim, but when Taehyung took over, he decided to use his mother's office rather than his dad's, which was still untouched expect when being cleaned.

"Of course. Go and rest and I'll clean up. I need to get back to work anyways," Taehyung smiled reassuringly. "When do you need to get to the airport?"

"I need to be there at eight in the morning."

"Okay, I'll bring you home with me when my shift ends and I'll drive you tomorrow morning," he said as he led her to the neighbour office. "Rest up mom," he said as he kissed her softly on the forehead and she fell fast asleep.

Jungkook

It was the next day, and Jungkook were skipping on his way to work. Or rather, he was heading towards Kim's Café. Just thinking of seeing the elder by the counter, serving him his coffee made him grin from ear to ear.

As he entered the café, he walked up to the counter, though he frowned slightly as he didn't see anyone standing there.

"Hello?" he called out, expecting Taehyung to be behind by the kitchen, preparing food or something, but it wasn't the elder male he was expected who came running out, but another worker whom Jungkook hadn't seen before.
