Taehyung

Taehyung really didn't know what to do in this situation. Jungkook took a seat right next to him, which surprised him a lot. He himself would take the opposite seat, both to get a good view of him and to give him some space, but apparently, he didn't want to do so. Not that Taehyung was complaining, it felt good to be close to him. And earlier, when he was really close and even held around the elder's hands, he felt his heart suddenly rising - he just flinched at his action as he didn't expect him to do so.

As Taehyung was eating his lunch, they both had fallen silent. Taehyung pondered at what Namjoon had said earlier. Not only did Jungkook join him, but he sat right next to him. Did it mean that he was interested as well? And not even hesitating to hold around his hands.

But Taehyung didn't want to get over himself. If he asked the younger male out, two things could happen: he would either say yes or no. Taehyung wasn't quite ready to get a no when asking someone out, especially Jungkook. If he turned him down, it'd become really awkward and he'd want to avoid him just out of embarrassment, but Jungkook himself would probably avoid him as well, for being put in an awkward position and knowing that Taehyung was interested in him.

He couldn't ask him out before knowing for certain that he was interested as well, which he had no idea how he'd find out.

"So, Jungkook, are you seeing someone?" I have no idea why I asked that, it just kind of slipped out.

"Not at the moment, no," he replied with a sweet smile. Taehyung couldn't help but be mesmerized. "What about you?"

"No," he nearly mumbled. He didn't know what else to so say, so the topic dropped immediately, but suddenly Jungkook said something that really shocked him. "Can I call you hyung?"

Taehyung almost choked on his food. "What?"

"Can I call you hyung?" he repeated the question. "I found out you're two years older than me, and I feel like we're close enough, so can I call you hyung?"

"Uhm, sure, yeah."

"Great, from now on I'll be calling you Taehyungie hyung," the younger grinned.

Taehyung felt his whole face heating up at his statement. He loved it when being called hyung, but it felt even better when hearing it from Jungkook.

As Taehyung continued to eat his lunch, he felt the younger studying him, so he glanced back at him. "Do I have something on my face?" he asked as he began licking his lips.

Jungkook's cheek flushed pink. "No, nothing," he said as he looked away. "How long is your café open tonight?" he asked to change the topic.

"Until nine in the evening," he replied, "why?"

"Just asking, since you said you'll be taking Jimin's shift as he got sick."

Taehyung nodded. "Yeah, I always open the café except for today, and since Namjoon did, he doesn't have to work until late today."

"Is there only you three, and the chef?" the younger asked.

"Yes," Taehyung replied, "I'm currently looking for another part-time worker, preferably a student to help Jimin out during the evenings, but no one has shown interest yet."
