Taehyung
I want to kiss him now.
His phone suddenly started ringing, which startled both of them. For fuck's sake. "Hello?" he answered, rather harsh and angry, not expecting his father to be on the other line.
"It's your father," he said, rather in a scolding voice.
Taehyung cringed. "Oh, hey dad," he said in retreat, "sorry."
"I called just to check in on you. Don't forget that I'll pick you up at 2 pm tomorrow as we need to arrive at the funeral a little bit earlier to make sure the ceremony will go well."
"Okay, thanks, I'll see you tomorrow," he replied as he quickly hung up.
As he glanced back to Jungkook, he already had his head down. "I'll clean up," he said as he got up from the sofa and threw away the rest. Jungkook was still on the sofa when he was done, so Taehyung sat back down beside him.
"I should go home," Jungkook started, getting the elder's attention. He hadn't even realised how late it had gotten. "You should rest and prepare for tomorrow. I'll see you then." He got up from the sofa and walked towards the door with Taehyung tailing behind.
"Jungkookie," he started, which made the younger turn around to look at him questioningly. "If you want to, I'll pick you up and we can go together?"
Jungkook smile grew and he gave him a nod. "Thanks, hyung. Good night."
"Good night."
The younger walked out and Taehyung locked the door behind him. He let out a heavy sigh once he was alone again. "Why can't I ever get the chance to kiss him?" he sulked as he sloppily made his way to the bathroom, preparing himself for the night.
Jungkook
It was the next day, and as Jungkook exited from the shower, he blow-dried his hair, ruffled it up and put on his suit. It was just in a matter of time before Taehyung would be at his place, so he patiently waited for the elder to let him know when he was there.
Once he got the text message, he hurried down the building and entered Taehyung's car. "Hey," the elder greeted him, forcing out a smile on a sad day.
"Hey, hyung," Jungkook greeted back. Taehyung started the car immediately and they drove off to the funeral. It was a silent drive, but Jungkook didn't push it; he knew how sad Taehyung was feeling, especially today. No one in his family had died, except when he was a little child, but he didn't actually remember.
Once they were at their destination, they were about to exit the car, but Jungkook noticed how Taehyung had stiffened up and sat completely still in his seat.
"Hyung," he said softly as he grabbed his hand softly. "I'm here. You can do this."
Taehyung returned the soft smile and he responded with a small nod and they both exited the car. Taehyung's father was already outside, subtly glaring at Jungkook as they approached closer.
