Aaron's POV:

"I'm sorry," she said, and I literally heard some cracks in my heart, tearing it in half. But then she said, "Just kidding! Of course! I'd be honored to!" with a smile.

I sighed in relief and said, "Not cool, Arianna."

She grinned. "Why? Gonna cry, lover boy?"

I gave her a flat look.

"Ok. Ok. Just kidding. Geez. If looks could kill, your new girlfriend would have died five seconds after you just asked her out. I feel bad for her now. She's very unfortunate to have a boyfriend like you," she said, sighing dramatically for effect.

"Yeah? Well tell her that if she doesn't stop messing with me, someone's gonna get tickled." I said nonchalantly.

"Alright. You heard-. Wait. What?!" she snapped her attention to me, panicked. I slowly looked at her, a creepy smile in my face. "Oh no. Aaron, don't you dare, and I MEAN don't you dare, do what I think you're about to do!"

"Which is what? You know, I have a lot of things I wanna do with you right now." I said, smirking.

She squealed. "You damn pervert!"

"Thank you, but in case you forgot, you're friends with this pervert, you like this pervert, and you agreed to become this pervert's girlfriend." I said, watching her stand up cautiously.

"Yeah, unfortunately." she mumbled under her breath, though I still heard her.

"Excuse me? Care to repeat that again?" I said, eyebrows raised.

She put on a thinking look and said, "Uhm..Let me think about it... No." Then she ran, hands flailing around in the air like she was being chased by a monster. I quickly ran after her.

"You might be sporty, but we're both in Track and Field, so you can't just run away from me." I said.

"I know! But that doesn't mean I'm gonna give up and let you!" she replied.

I quickened my pace and caught up to her, circling my arms on her waist and spinning her around while she giggled like crazy.

"That was a good practice for the nationals, don't you think?" I asked, still not letting go of her.

"Yup. Damn. I haven't run like that in a long time ever since track season ended." she said, still trying to control her breathing.

"Yup. Me too." I said, resting my chin on her shoulder. She twisted her head and gave me a small peck in the lips before taking my arms off of her, though she didn't let go of my hand as we walked back to the pond. We sat down again, her in front of me while my arms rested against her stomach, my chin on her shoulders like before.

She looked at me and said, "Why did I say yes to you when you're leaving before summer ends? What am I supposed to do when you leave?"

I froze for a second. I never thought about it till now. It completely slipped off my mind. "We'll think about it when the time comes, okay?" I kissed her softly, then she twisted her body, facing me, so I deepened the kiss. Our tongues fought and slid against each other, moving in sync. I groaned as she pulled on my hair and brought us closer together, closing the non-existent space between us.

We pulled away after a few more seconds of kissing and I rested my forehead against hers. "I like you. A lot. I won't say the L word yet, but I know the feelings I feel for you is almost the same as the meaning of love."

I stared intensely at her eyes, admiring her blue eyes that had a shade of green. She leaned and kissed me and pulled away. "I feel the same." Then she smiled and almost took my breath away. She stood up and offered a hand, which I accepted though I didn't need. "Let's go home. How much you wanna bet that they already know?" she asked, referring to our parents.

"Oh, I don't wanna bet, cus I totally agree with you. It's so weird that they know everything before we could even tell them." I said, taking her hand in mine.

"Heck yeah." she said. I let go of her hand and stepped in front of her, making her stumble on me, and I held her legs before she could, and gave her a piggyback ride. "Yeah! Hurry up, you stupid horse! You're slower than a grandma with crutches! It feels like a tiny turtle can move faster than you!" she said.

"Oh shut up. You're heavy!" I said, though I was lying. She wasn't really heavy.

"Why thank you! Now hurry!" she said, tugging on my hair like a little girl.

"Geez, ok ok. Never knew my girlfriend was abusive." I said, skaking my head, and in respond, she blew on my ears, making my squeal like a girl and run with her on my back. Her laugh ringing through the forest.
