Arianna's POV:

I woke up as a cold cloth was placed on my forehead. I felt hot all over my body. I opened my eyes to see Aaron looking straight at me. I groaned. "I have a fever, huh?" I croaked, my voice dry as a dessert.

"Yeah." was all he said.

"Where is he?" I asked him, and he knew immediately that I was talking about Nate. He looked towards the dark corner of my room, and it took me a while to notice that somebody was there, and when my ears started straining to hear, I heard sobs. I tried sitting up, but my body felt so heavy and I felt like my head was splitting in half. In the end, Aaron helped me and brought me across the room to the secluded corner.

I put a hand on his shoulder, and he started sobbing uncontrollably. I couldn't help but wrap my arms around him. He seemed so vulnerable I just had to. He wrapped his arms tightly around me, as if scared to let go. He looked up and I saw that his eyes were bloodshot red. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry, Arianna. I didn't mean to do it. I'm so sorry!" he said, his voice barely a whisper though I heard him clearly and the sincerity in his voice.

I just wrapped my arms tightly around him again and he let his head rest on my shoulder. I rubbed his back in circles and said, "It's okay, but tell me the real reason on why you did it."

"It's the alcohol. I can't drink alcohol cus it makes me lose control over myself." he explained.

"Then why did you?" asked Aaron.

"I didn't, but this girl from our school was forcing herself on me and she thought it would be a good idea to transfer the vodka that was in her mouth to mine, which was nasty if you ask me." he said with a little laugh. I felt him shudder as if remembering what happened and I laughed softly at him.

"Well, if that's the case, then don't ever drink ever again." I said, lifting his head off my shoulder and wiping his tears away. He looked like a sick puppy.

"I'm so-"

"If you say sorry again, I will cut off your tongue and feed it to Aaron." I threatened.

"Ewww." they said at the same time, their faces scrunched up in disgust.

I laughed at their reaction, but the headache got worse and I slumped on Nate.

"Woah. Arianna. You okay?" he said, holding my cheeks and trying to look at my eyes. "Carry her to bed. She shouldn't be up in the first place. She's burning." he told Aaron.

Aaron took me from Nate and carried me to my bed. I heard Nate stand up and say he was getting medicine. In a few minutes, he came back and told me that it was gonna make me sleepy. I noticed a guitar resting on the wall. Nate saw me looking at it and he picked it up. He started playing some chords and Aaron started to sing. His voice soft, but rough at the same time. My vision started to get foggy, so I closed my eyes, though I was stil awake, listening to Aaron's melodic voice and the strum of Nate's guitar.
