Mystery POV:
As soon as she walked in the room, I felt like time stopped. Her eyes wondered around and sets on my direction. I don't know if she's looking at me, but probably close. In every step she took, it became clear who she was trying to find. Me. IT'S ME! She took my hand in her delicate little hands and pulled us to the dance floor as All Time Low's Remembering Sunday played through the speakers. Everything seemed to vanish and all I notice was the most beautiful girl in the world dancing with me.
"You look beautiful. Scratch that. Gorgeous. Definitely gorgeous. Took you too long to get here though." I said.
"Not my fault. Jess was too caught up on making me look like a barbie doll and completely forgot that she should be getting ready by then." she said with a shrug, her voice as angelic as I remember.
I laughed. How did I manage to be with this girl? I never knew luck liked me so much, I said to myself. " Well, what's important is that your here."
"Shut up. You're such a sweet talker." she said, giggling.
" Is there something wrong with being one?" I asked, faking hurt.
She seemed to talk about it and said innocently, "Yup."
Before I could answer, our principal came up to the stage and greeted people. "Good evening everyone. I hope you're enjoying your prom. And if you're here only for the food, I sure hope you're enjoying it because it's an expensive bunch." Laughs chorused in the room. "Well, should we announce the candidates of Prom King and Queen?"
"Yes!" the students said.
"Well, we have tough decisions to make for both sides of the campaign seeing as everyone looks awesome today. I sure hope that you didn't spend too much.. and for girls.. I hope you didn't forget to turn your curling iron off because I'm pretty sure your house is burned by now. Anyway, back to the main thing, our Prom King candidates are: Aaron Garcia, Nathan Cross, Archer Ames, Andrew Ames, and Camron Abey. And for Prom Queen are: Savannah Hilton, Lizzie Cross, Stephanie Conors, Jessica Henderson, and Arianna Thompson. Congratulations to the top 5 candidates of Prom King and Queen. Don't forget to vote for your King and Queen. We'll announce the winners after a few more songs."
I wouldn't be surprised that this beautiful angel got in. It would be crazy if she didn't.
We stopped dancing to get some drinks, talk to some friends, dance some more, drink, talk, and dance again. Arianna dance with some guys, I danced with some girls, and somehow we end up in each others arms again.
"So, I have the results of this year's Prom King and Queen. Ladies first. Our Prom Queen is.... Arianna Thompson!" I cheered as I let go of her and she made her way to the stage.
"Next.. our Prom King... Aaron Cross!!"
