DEATH AND THE RAVEN

A lover of the sea,

And a lover of the sky,

Will meet on land before me,

When an end is nigh.

Love will grow slowly,

Steadily and sure,

But all love has a forfeit,

I will collect it at your door.

Death will follow all of love

For they both share the colour red.

Therefore you have a debt to pay,

One shade for a heart of lead.

Know that this is your warning,

Know that this is your scare,

Prove to me it is True Love,

Not a Pitying instead.

And if you do so successfully,

Your lives may be spared.
