The Color is Smug

Red's POV

Eli was tied up, and was still talking a big mouth. The one called Strawberry had dowsed Eli with water.

"Gah! Fuck, that's freezing!"

"Gah! Fuck, that's freezing!" Eli yelled at her. 

I burst in front of Eli with Pandora and Bronze. Kiwi got surprised and ended up releasing the vines that held Eli's hands together.

"Now it's a fair fight. Do you still want to engage in battle?" I asked.

 I didn't draw my weapon and tried to look smug. Strawberry hissed.

I unfroze and ran with Pandora and Bronze to help Eli. We all drew our weapons and the vines holding Eli's wrists disappeared.

"Now it's a fair fight. Still want to engage in battle?" I asked them.

On cue Strawberry hissed.

"We'll be back. And with more of our friends. Then, Ginny will be happy." Haven said.

Eli froze as they turned and walked away.

Pandora didn't notice and asked her: "How do you know the Feary Queen, Eli?"

She snapped out of her daze when Bronze slapped her across the face.

"Ow! What the hell was that for?!" Eli shouted at her.

"You were staring off into space. And Pandora asked you a question."

She looked at Pandora who repeated her question. 

"Who is this Feary Queen, Ginny. And how do you know her?"

"Ginny is almost like family. When my father had gone off to war, my mother didn't have enough money to pay her taxes to the royals. They came and locked her away. But she made sure I was hidden. When I ventured out, she was gone. Ginny found me and taught me how to fight and hunt. Why she would want to kill me now, I have no idea."

We all nodded and we went over to Erin, Diana, and Naomi.

"We're going to the Feary Queen's Palace. Want to join?" I asked.

All three smiled and nodded eagerly.

"You will likely get killed. This will be a long journey." Pandora stated. "If you are unsure, then stay behind. We have no use for slackers."

"We're coming." Erin said. "You're not leaving us behind."

Naomi and Diana nodded. "You need us."

"Why?" Eli asked. "What do you have to offer?"

I looked over at her. Why the hell would she ask that?

Erin raised her hand. " I have strength, Naomi has power over rocks, and Diana has power over heat."

Eli nodded and looked at me. "What do you have?"

I smiled. "The power to predict what someone else is going to do or say." 

I turned towards Bronze and Pandora. "There's something special about you two. Don't ever leave each others side."

Pandora looked at me, bored while Bronze looked up at her, appalled.

Eli chuckled and turned on her heels and pointed to the sky. "Onwards! To the Feary Queen that wants to kill us!"

Everyone cheered and we walked towards the forest.

"But first, we need new clothes!"
