Before Eli

Pandora's POV

I walked through town, a knife and gun at my belt and my staff hidden from humans sight. Humans are stupid creatures, really. Can't see something that's right in front of them.

I spotted a tall girl helping up another girl on the ground. They strangely looked familiar but I shrugged it off and turned to Red.

"What did you need again?"

"A new knife. Diana needs some more arrows, and Naomi needs another sword, hers is getting dull."

I nodded and turned back to the two girls. They were gone.

"Split up. Everyone gets what they need."

I handed them the amount of money they would need. Their faces lit up with smiles and they ran off. I hoped they didn't get into any trouble. I took out some money and headed towards a booth that was selling magical stones. I bought some and went to a field to wait for the others. A girl with brown hair walked over. I recognized her as the one from earlier.

"Hello. Is there something I can help you with hun?"

"Hun?" She asked me. "Are you where Eli got it from?"

"Eli? My former student? Yeah, she took after my way of talking."

"Would you happen to know where she is?"

"Weren't you just with her?"

"Yeah, but that was about a day ago."

"How long have I been sitting here? And where are the others?" I shouted at nothing.

She took a step back and stepped on Red's foot. Diana tried to hold in laughter. She whispered something in Naomi's ear and she giggled too.

"Ow." Red said sarcastically. "Sorry we took so long. Naomi's picky. And Diana had disappeared, supposedly she was on a dare."

Diana laughed again and Naomi crossed her arms.

"Well it's not my fault! They don't know how to make swords the right way! And we couldn't find you Pandora! We went into a bar that Red wanted to go to when we got tired of looking. We saw you there too." She pointed at the girl.

I glanced at Red and she shrugged.

"I was in need of a drink. Anyway, Pandora, do you want to introduce us to your friend here?"

"Yeah." I said. "This is- uh... what's your name hun?"

The girl stuck out her hand.

"Bronze. You can come out now April."

A girl stepped out from behind a bush. Her green hair covered her eyes. She sat down beside me and looked at the rocks I had bought yesterday.

"You're a witch. The others don't know how to use these, but you bought them for a specific spell. Why would you need a resurrection spell?"

She looked up at me and I saw that her eyes were the same shade of purple as mine. I was about to answer when her head dropped forwards and her body followed. I looked up at Bronze and she shrugged with wide eyes. I felt her wrist for a pulse. Nothing. We all sat down in a circle when five people stepped into the field. We all stood up and drew our weapons. My gun was still hidden though I had a dagger in hand.

"Relax." One of the girls said. She was the only one with blonde hair. "We mean you no harm. My name is Strawberry." She gestured to a girl with green eyes. "This is Kiwi."

I heard a giggle from Diana. I turned and she couldn't hide her smile.

"What?" She asked me. "They're named after fruit."

I smiled and turned back to the strange girls. Strawberry gestured to another girl.

"Nala, on her right, Haven, and on her left, Erin." Estella was looking at me.

"Erin you say?" Red said.

"Yeah, do you two know each other?" Nala asked me.

"Three apparently. But, yes, she was my student after Eli. Hello again."

"Hello!"

We all sat down around the dead girl, April.

Eli walked into the field to find me and a lot of other people crowded around April. Bronze noticed her and screamed out: "Eli! You're back! Where the hell have you been?"

"Long story. Try to kill me." She said with a small smile on her face.

"What the fuck? No!" Bronze took a step backwards.

"Okay." I stepped forward and Eli looked at Bronze.

"How did you find her?"

Bronze looked confused while I just smiled. Eli ran up to me and hugged me. I shoved her off.

"Get off me! Have I taught you nothing?!"

She laughed. "Yep, it's you Pandora!"

"So, what was this about trying to kill you?"

"Yeah, hold on. Bronze, who are all these people? And who's the dead girl?"

Bronze looked back at the large group of people. She walked over to each one. "You already know Pandora. This is Red... Erin... Naomi... Diana... Nala... Haven... Kiwi... and Strawberry."

"The girl on the ground?"

"April."

"Do we know an April?" She asked Bronze.

"You don't. I did."

She looked over at everyone. She waved and turned back to me. "So, yeah. Kill me. You know you want to."

Erin opened her mouth and Red whispered something to her. She nodded and closed her mouth.

I nodded, smiled, and pulled out my revolver.

"I didn't know witches used guns!" Eli exclaimed.

"Well, you would to if magic was suddenly forbidden in the village."

"True. Okay, Shoot me in the stomach. I already need a new tunic since this one is covered in blood."

I nodded and shot Eli in the chest just for fun. She flew backwards from the force of the impact. She sat up with blood dripping out of the sides of her mouth. She threw her hands up.

"I'm immortal bitch!" Eli yelled into the sky.

I laughed and turned back to Red.

"Eli's a bit crazy. Anyway, do you have anymore money? She wasn't kidding about needing a new shirt."

Red laughed and took out about $150.

"Why did I give you money?"

Red shrugged and looked over my shoulder to see Bronze walking our way, muttering about something.

I heard something and looked over my shoulder at Eli. The girl had four people against her, with weapons drawn. Hers were still sheathed and her hands were tied with vines. Idiot girl. Did she remember nothing from her lessons?
