Su Xiaomi

Coming home Xiaomi was not all that surprised to come home to Lu Yiyi and Chen waiting outside for him. It was obvious that Lu Yiyi was crying and as Su Xiaomi walked out of the car Lu Yiyi ran to hug him tightly.

"You're going to be okay.' She spoke hugging him tightly, crying while she smiled. Feeling his heartache Su Xiaomi wanted to smile but couldn't feel as optimistic. Was it wrong to be afraid?

Xiaomi could feel that Yan Yan came to stand beside him, having already taken the bags out of his car.

"You've already cut your hair," Chen spoke coming over to Su Xiaomi wand patting his bald head, which was now covered by the beanie.

"I had to." Xiaomi spoke shrugging.

"I could have gone with you." Chen spoke.

"That's fine really. Yan Yan took me to Yang Hui's place. I was fine. We did the same last time." Xiaomi spoke. Chen didn't say more, instead he hugged Xiaomi.

"You'll be fine. Don't worry."
"Thanks Chen Ge." Xiaomi spoke.

Turning to look at Yan Yan who for the most part remained quiet.

"I'll let you go inside." Yan Yan spoke reaching up to caress Xiaomi's cheek.

"He'll need to go to the doctor tomorrow. It's important." Lu Yiyi spoke.

"You don't need to come Yan Yan." Xiaomi spoke not wanting to be a burden to Yan Yan.

"I'm coming with you. I promised you didn't I?" Yan Yan spoke his face as always was cold but his eyes spoke of determination and Xiaomi knew that Yan Yan had meant every word he said.

"Alright." Xiaomi spoke nodding.

His intent was simply to walk inside however; he was taken back when Yan Yan kissed him. Xiaomi could feel his face heat up. He was well aware that both Lu Yiyi and Chen were standing in front of him. Mustering up the strength he could Xiaomi pushed Yan Yan away though he said nothing and simply cleared his throat and walked away inside the house.

In the back of his mind Xiaomi couldn't help but feel as if this were a déjà vu moment to the time Yan Yan kissed him in front of Lu Yiyi for the first time. Xiaomi intended to go straight to his room but it was Lu Yiyi's voice that made him come to a halt.

"At least this time I'm married and not pinning over him like an idiot." Lu Yiyi spoke her tone teasing.

"I take it things went well on your trip."
"It's not your business." Xiaomi found himself saying back to Lu Yiyi before heading into his room, heart racing.

"What am I doing?" Xiaomi thought to himself. As much as he wanted to be happy there was still the unsteady future that was laid in front of him. It was as if he was blindfolded and made to walk on a tightrope. There was no safety net at the bottom and Su Xiaomi was sure that if he fell of this rope there was no way that he could survive.

Yan Yan

It was hard to sleep the previous night. It came with worries and doubts... more than anything Yan Yan was afraid. He tried not to think of the negatives which challenged his mind and beat at his heart like a pounding gavel waiting for the final verdict. He would be lying if he said he wasn't worried. Though he tried to remain optimistic, simply because there was no other way to think.

Yan Yan had been away from Su Xiaomi for so long this wasn't something that he wanted Su Xiaomi to face alone. He'd gone through so many things on his own. Yan Yan didn't want this to be something Su Xiaomi did without him. Earlier that morning before he'd driven himself back to Lu Yiyi's house he'd called his assistant and let her know that he was clearing his schedule for that morning. There was no compromising and Yan Yan was more than willing to drop everything in order to be there for Su Xiaomi.
