Sitting inside the small hospital room Yan Yan had never felt more nervous being there. A nurse had just taken a blood sample and to Yan Yan he truly hoped that this would all work out.
"You're his last hope."
Lu Yiyi's words had haunted Yan Yan the previous night. As guilty as he felt for abandoning Xiaomi he tried to brush away at that feeling. The last thing he wanted Xiaomi to think was that he was back here again, fighting for him because he felt pity.
He loved Su Xiaomi, he didn't care about anything else, he did not want to think of anything else. Xiaomi needed him to be strong. How many times had this role come for him? When Xiaomi had been bashed, even when it came to standing up to both their parents. They had been each other's support. But Yan Yan knew that through it all Xiaomi had trusted him. Now that trust had been lost and Yan Yan knew he had to work back to earning that trust.
"Alright. We'll have the results in a few days and we'll give you a call." The nurse explained. Nodding Yan Yan headed out to his car. Hearing his phone ring once again Yan Yan simply decided to turn it off. All morning and since the past night Au Yang Jia had been trying to reach him. Needless to say Yan Yan was not willing to answer. Not yet at least, he didn't want to hear excuses. For now, he'd gotten himself a hotel room to stay at and had contacted someone to re-decorate the home in which he and Xiaomi had lived in.
At first, Yan Yan had wanted to leave Xiaomi no option but to drag him home, much like he had done before when they'd fought. This time however, there could be no such thing. He was wrong, and dealing with things like he had in the past had led up to this point. Stopping in front of the street light Yan Yan turned in the direction he needed to go. While he wanted to see Xiaomi there was someone else he needed to talk to first.
Parking outside Chen's restaurant he walked inside. This place was rather busy and expensive. The restaurant was filled with people and was one of the top restaurants in town. It had been raved about and given 5 stars it was how Xiaomi had dragged him here all those years back.
"Yan this place looks so expensive. Maybe we shouldn't eat here."
"You asked me to come. You nagged for days now you'll eat here." Yan Yan snapped at Xiaomi coldly. It had been a few days before when Xiaomi was once again reading a magazine and found an article about this restaurant. It was because of this that he'd bothered Yan Yan about going.
As usual he pouted and begged until he got his way. Not that Yan Yan put up much of a fight.
"I'm only worried about you spending too much. I'll help you pay."
"With what? Haven't you spent all your pocket money already?""I have some left." Xiaomi pouted.
"I'll help pay for my own meal." Xiaomi spoke.
When the waitress came with the menus she immediately perked up upon seeing Yan Yan. She was in a black skirt and white button up shirt, her brown hair was tied in a neat bun and her face was covered entirely with heavy makeup.
"What would you like to order?" She questioned flirtatiously this caused Xiaomi to glare of course, Yan Yan paid no mind to her. In fact, every time someone seemed interested in him he seemed colder."Spaghetti alla Carbonara." Yan Yan answered.
"Anything else?" The woman questioned trying to make eye contact with Yan Yan.
However, Yan Yan simply turned to Xiaomi who was having trouble with the menu simply because he did not know what things were or what to order.
"Yan." Xiaomi began.
