Su Xiaomi
Finally, he could go home. After what felt like a lifetime Xiaomi was ready to be discharged from the hospital. He was glad. There were many things that he was looking forward to doing. He'd been given a last checkup and a few tests after but for now his surgery was considered successful.
For now, Xiaomi would have to keep doing a few test here and there in order to make sure that things would be okay, for now, Su Xiaomi wouldn't worry too much.
"Let's take it one step at a time." Yan Yan had said to him.
"Are you ready?" Yan Yan questioned. There wasn't much that Xiaomi would take back home with him. There were clothes, which he'd brought with him from the time he was admitted, a journal which was used for his therapy. But beyond that there was nothing.
"I'm ready. Everyone is waiting back home." Xiaomi spoke with a bright smile.
He was happier, there were many things that felt as though were gone now that this illness was gone as well. He didn't know why this happened to him but... if this was what he had in return he was happy.
"I've already filled out the papers for you to leave." Yan Yan informed Su Xiaomi before taking his hand and lacing it with his own.
Xiaomi could feel his heart pitter patter much like it did before and even now. He was sure now, more than ever that there would be no more obstacles between him and Yan Yan. Walking out of the hospital with Yan Yan Xiaomi could feel his heart race with anticipation. This was truly a new chance at not only love but life.
"Wait." Xiaomi spoke to Yan Yan once they were out of the hospital and outside. It had been a very long time since Xiaomi could truly feel the sun hit his face or the wind whisper in his ear. Inhaling and closing his eyes Su Xiaomi smiled.
There was a navy blue beanie on his head and he wore a large gray sweater that belonged to Yan Yan. He's asked him to bring one, simply because he wanted something comfortable to wear. Opening his eyes Su Xiaomi simply looked up and smiled at Yan Yan. Yan Yan simply smiled back at Su Xiaomi and led him towards the car. Once they were inside the car Su Xiaomi smiled.
Letting the window down and allowing the sun and the soft breeze to hit him he smiled. There was something relaxing about being in the car. There was silence between Yan Yan and Su Xiaomi.
"Can we ride a little longer?" Su Xiaomi wanted to ask knowing the ride back home to Lu Yiyi was close. However, when Yan Yan took a left turn instead of a right Xiaomi grew confused.
"We're not going home? Lu Yiyi will be mad." Xiaomi spoke.
"I asked for a few hours." Yan Yan spoke to him.
"Then where are we going?"
Yan Yan didn't answer, which only cause Su Xiaomi's interest to peak.
They rode around for a good thirty minutes before Xiaomi realized where they were going. Finally, when Yan Yan parked the car in front of the cemetery. Xiaomi could feel his heart tighten. He was sure that his expression of sadness was on his face because Yan Yan took his hand once he was out of the car. In his free hand Yan Yan also carried flowers.
"Why did you bring us here?" Xiaomi whispered softly.
Again, Yan Yan did not reply. Instead offered Su Xiaomi a hand squeeze. Xiaomi had walked this path so many time he could go to it with his eyes closed. He felt at ease when he realized there was fresh flowers. He was sure it was Yiyi or ever her parents that had come to leave flowers. Politely they both bowed and kneeled in front of them.
