Yan Yan

The club was hectic, people danced and around him people came and went. Yan Yan sat in the back trying hs best to remain invisible and away from everyone. He couldn't think. His mind was going in circles to the scene he had witnessed. His heart was being squeezed to the point he thought it would stop. He was in so much pain, the same amount od pain, if not more pain than he had been in when he left Su Xiaomi. Thinking about the image of Su Xiaomi that man and that child Yan Yan shut his eyes tightly and sighed. Clenching his fist, he took the drink in front of him with his other hand and gulped it down. The burn of the alcohol calmed the bile that rose from his throat.

He refused to cry. Yan Yan was too angry and too prideful for that. Countless of times he had told Su Xiaomi that he could live without him and that in turn it would be Su Xiaomi that would be unable to live with him. Of course, Yan Yan had never once meant a word that he had said, back then he always assumed he and Su Xiaomi would be one. Now however, things had changed. In fact, it seemed that he was the one that could not, nor would he ever be able to get over Su Xiaomi.

"Hard day handsome?"
Feeling someone gently caress his shoulder and then sit beside him Yan Yan coldly looked at the woman in front of him.

"Call me Darling." She spoke looking at Yan Yan seductively.

"I'm not in the mood. Get lost." He spoke coldly without bothering to look at the woman in front.

"Come on handsome." She spoke moving to cling on to Yan Yan by wrapping her arms around him tightly. Pushing her away harshly Yan Yan raised his voice once more.

"I said get lost!"
Taken back by Yan Yan's anger the woman grew frightened and took a step back.

"Fine! Your loss." She snapped flipping her hair away as she walked away from Yan Yan and into the crowd of people that were dancing.

The vibration inside his phone pocket let Yan Yan know that Au Yang Jia was calling him. Not wanting to deal with anything or anyone Yan Yan turned his phone off.

"You know. It's polite that when someone calls you, that you answer the call."
"I don't have time for this." Yan Yan spoke when Au Yang Jia went to sit beside him.

"I don't need a babysitter." Yan Yan spoke coldly to Au Yang Jia.

"It doesn't feel that way."
"In fact, it hasn't been alright in years." Au Yang Jia spoke silently.

Yan Yan did not respond instead he simply motioned to the bar tender at the club, who brought over a bottle of scotch. Pouring himself another drink Yan Yan tried to ignore Au Yang Jia only to have him take bottle away from him.

"You went to see him didn't you?" Au Yang Jia asked, though his question was met by silence.

"I've done the right paperwork for the divorce. It shouldn't take more than a few weeks." He continued.

"Why are you still talking" Yan Yan snapped.

"Leave."
"Fine. For today I'll let you drink as you please. But resolve this quickly, settle your feelings quickly and get back to work." Au Yang Jia spoke.

"You'll have to meet him again. No matter what. You settled to give him things in the divorce five years ago. That must be updated. I've already had someone send a notice to Su Xiaomi and in three days you will meet and settle a few things. Settle your feelings first." Au Yang Jia spoke to him handing him back the bottle of scotch before walking away. Grabbing tightly on to the empty glass in his hand Yan Yan had half a mind to throw the glass at the floor in a rage. Instead, he settled for taking a sip of the bottle of scotch. Allowing himself to feel the burn of the alcohol and trying to ignore the pain he felt in his heart.
