You never realize how important someone is to you until they're gone. You realize how much time you forgot to spend with them, worst of all is when you never get to say goodbye. I finally understood what this meant when a just a week ago, my best friend Jesse was reported missing. Everyone thinks she's dead. What if she is? What if the great friendship of Jesse and Petra is over? Is it
just Petra now? I wish I could know what the cause was because I know she wasn't kidnapped. She was stressed and upset about something, she kept what it was locked up inside, not to be let out and I never knew why. What if it was my fault? What if she never comes back? If only I knew where she was. A few months ago, I would catch her crying in her room and whenever I came in to comfort her, she pushed me away. Only once she actually let me stay with her and comfort her. Then, she grew more housebound and never showed herself to the public. All of Beacon Town began to wonder what had happened to their great leader. Then, she went missing, the whole town frightened of what may have happened and the order, filled with nothing but deep, deep depression and sadness. Here I am now, sat in my room, looking at picture frames we hung up years ago. I picked up one of me in the red outfit the admin put me in when he put the gauntlet on my hand for destroying the clock in the "Icy Place of Despair". I got changed back into that outfit and started playing around and Jesse took that picture, that's where it came from. We also had one from the very first "Founding Day", it was the whole order in front of the beacons with huge smiles on our faces. I let those memories fade into mine and I let out a soft cry, I missed those memories. I heard a knock on the door which echoed throughout my room
"Come in," I say. The door opens to reveal Lukas
"Hey Petra," He sighs.
"I guess I'm not the only one who took a trip down memory lane?" I said as if I were asking a question, which I was.
"Those pictures make me laugh every time, but I can't help but turn those laughs into cries," Lukas said in his calm voice.
"Hehe, that's what memories do once an important part of them is gone," I sighed
"Yeah but we can't be sad, Jesse wouldn't want that,"
"Right," I sat down on my bed and looked out the window at the town just below. "I miss those days, I'd do anything to get them back,"
Yo everyone! I wrote this story in my notebook a while back, I got to around 22 pages (probably from my huge handwriting) and I just stopped writing it.
