I turned around, slowly as possible. No one stopped me. No one noticed me leaving. I imagined the posters with my face on them with the word "Missing" as the label, but I wouldn't be missing long. I hope anyway. I found caves almost everywhere, I remember searching in them all, but all I would find would be some zombies and spiders. I found footprints and gained hope, but followed them to no where. When a few days passed, I was thinking about turning back home, getting more information to help me, but once I turned around to make my way back, I realized, I was nothing but lost. Another day in. I think I finally found something. I sat down to eat something, I had only eaten one of the snacks Jack had given me so far, and it's been four days. As I sat I noticed something yellow and solid resting on some dead leaves. I observed it and it looked like a beret.
"Could it be Jesse's?" I wondered. I examined it a bit more and put it in my bag guessing it might be a clue. I sat down and ate a cookie. It had gone soft, but it was still good, I guess. After that small snack, I continued to walk deeper into this maze of a forest. I still had hope, mostly because I knew I would never find my way out of this forest so I definitely couldn't quit and turn around. I bumped into a few mobs. I got hit, shot by arrows and had potions thrown at me. But I'm Petra, a warrior, I didn't let some monsters get in my way. I took shelter in safe looking caves at night, or during rain. I woke up once to a spider approaching me while making its hissing noises. I never made sure that cave was safe though. I jumped up with a gasp and slaughtered the thing in just a second. Lesson learned: always make sure the cave is safe. Before u decide to spent your night sleeping in it. A spider might sneak up on you in your sleep. I wonder what is going on back home. What if no one knows I'm gone? Well, besides Jack. Maybe they gave up on Jesse and Lukas. Maybe me too.
