We see some people erupt in laughter at the bar, then some people dancing. We see other people hugging and catching up with each other while others are sitting at the tables having a conversation.
We see Kayla walk to the table, putting Cameron's jacket over his chair. No one is at the table, so Kayla decides to walk around and see if she can find one of the girls. She finds Jackie and Ariana on the dance floor and decides to join them.
Kayla: "Hey guys!"
Ariana: "Hey! Are you okay? Cameron seemed a little pissed when he came back to the table."
Kayla: "Yeah, we got into an argument. He'll get over it, don't worry. I want to know what's going on with you guys. How's working at CNN Ari?"
Ariana: "Oh my gosh, it's amazing! Kayla I am so happy to be there. It's like everything I've ever dreamed of."
Kayla: "Well since you're in D.C and not Nebraska anymore, I would hope you're happy."
Jackie: "I still have no idea how you did that Ari. Honestly, I would have lost it at some point if I was living alone in the middle of no where."
Ariana: "Well not all of us want to be living with mom and dad our entire life Jack."
The girls continue dancing to the music. We see some of their other classmates come up to them and make small conversation then leave. Kayla looks around the room while she dances. She spots Cameron have a conversation with Krystal at her table. Kayla slowly stop dancing getting upset when she sees Cameron takes Krystal's hands in his.
Kayla: "I'm sorry guys, I need a drink."
Ariana: "Oh, we'll come with!"
Kayla: "NO! Um...no. That's fine. I'll be back in a flash."
Kayla leaves the dance floor quickly and walks to the bar with her head down. We see Kayla find Sarah who is talking to a bartender. Kayla interrupts them.
Kayla: "Can I please have 3 shots of Patron?"
The bartender pours Kayla her three shots then gives them to her. He stands there looking at Sarah who is looking at Kayla a little taken back by her drink order.
Kayla: "Sarah can I talk to you for a minute?"
Sarah looks at the bartender before he walks away to make other people's drink.
Sarah: "I hope this is important. He was just about to give me his number."
Kayla takes her first shot.
Kayla: "Oh please, you have another hour and 45 minutes to get it."
Sarah: "Whatever, what do you need?"
Kayla: "It's Cameron. He's talking to that girl, Krystal."
Kayla take her second shot of Patron.
Sarah: "Okay...I am failing to see the problem because he's actually doing what you're supposed to be doing."
Kayla: "Remember a couple of months ago when I over heard Cameron and Cassandra having that conversation before I went to work?"
Sarah: "Yeah so...oooohhhh..."
Kayla takes her third shot.
Kayla: "Yeah and it's not the first time I saw them together tonight. Within the first ten minutes of us being here, he was at the bar with her...now he has his hands on her."
Sarah looks at Kayla as her face scrunches up from the taste of the alcohol. Sarah looks at the tables and spots Cameron and Krystal laughing. Sarah looks back at Kayla who looks like she is about to cry.
Kayla: "Everything is falling apart. This is why I didn't want to be here. Cameron's mad at me, I can't even be in the same room as any of my friends because I feel like I can't trust them or anyone else for that matter."
Kayla is trying to hide her falling tears. Sarah sighs and gives Kayla a hug.
Sarah: "They're starting to serve some food, so go back to your table and get something in your stomach beside alcohol. I'll call management and tell him you need to leave. This PR stunt isn't working anyways... it was a long shot to begin with. Go back to your table and tell Cameron we're leaving."
Kayla pulls away from their hug and walks away. We see Sarah watching Kayla walk away as she pulls her cell phone out of her purse. Before she can dial the phone number to call management, the bartender comes back. We see them continue to talk, Sarah forgetting to make the call.
