10- No One Can Leave

Kayla arrives at the table and noticed everyone is there, having their own conversations. She takes her seat in between Cassandra and Cameron and starts eating the salad that is in front of her, not looking at anyone.

Cassandra: "Are you okay?"

Kayla nods her head yes, not looking at Cassandra. We see Cassandra go back to eating her food, not convinced by Kayla's answer. We see Kayla looking at the salad in front of her. She starts to push a tomato around her plate with her fork, not wanting to eat anything at the moment.

Kayla soon feels like people are watching her as she plays with her food. We see her look around the table, but doesn't see anyone looking at her. Kayla looks out of the corner of her eye and sees Cameron watching her play with her food. Kayla lets out a small sigh before finally placing the tomato in her mouth.

Kayla: "Can you please stop watching me? You're starting to mess with my anxiety."

Cameron: "Sorry..."

Cameron's cell phone buzzes on the table. Kayla looks at it from the corner of her eye. She sees Krystal has texted Cameron. The message reads, "Can you meet me by the fountain now?" Kayla lets out of deep sigh as she continues to pick at her salad.

Kayla: "I talked to Sarah a couple of minutes ago. She said we can leave. She's calling management to tell them it's not working."

Cameron: "Oh...okay..."

Kayla: "If you want to stay you can. I won't stop you from having your fun."

Cameron: "What's that supposed to mean?!"

Everyone at their table stops talking and looks over at Kayla and Cameron. Before Kayla can respond we here a couple of taps coming through the speakers. We soon hear someone's voice.

Megan: "Hello...Hello, can I have everyone's attention please?"

Everyone stops talking. Kayla and Cameron turn around to face the girl Megan who is standing by the DJ on the dance floor with a microphone in her hand. The restaurant is quiet and everyone is now looking at her waiting for her to speak.

Megan: "I would like to welcome you all to our 10 year high school reunion. It is so nice for us to come together as a class once again."

We see everyone start clapping in the restaurant as Megan continues to talk.

Megan: "So many people have changed and gone to do so many crazy and intense things. Some of us have gotten married and had kids while working for NASA, yes I'm talking about you Aiden."

Majority of the people in the room look at the man, Aiden, and clap for him, then look back to Megan as she continues talking.

Megan: "While some of us have been making a name for ourselves by staring in major Hollywood movies. Kayla, where are you?"

Kayla hesitantly puts up her hand.

Megan: "Oh, there she is everyone."

People look at Kayla and start clapping. We see Kayla look down at her lap feeling embarrassed as everyone around her claps.

Megan: "As happy as I am to be here with all of you, I mainly came up her to tell you guys that unfortunately the snow storm has reached us and it's coming down a lot faster than expected. As of right now...no one can leave."

Gasps and whispers erupted from the crowd of adults within the restaurant. Kayla looks up at Cameron with a shocked and concerned look on her face. Cameron looks at Kayla with a blank face.

Megan: "We are trying to contact someone to come and plow us out, but at the moment it is too dangerous for us to let anyone leave. I am sorry. We don't know how long it is going to take so Aiden and anyone else who has kids, I would call whoever is watching them and let them know what is going on. Thank you."
