It did not take long for Ai Li Sha and Mi Rai to return to the Sect. As soon as they arrived, they went to find Grand Master Xi
"Master, this child attacked Junior sister." Mi Rai threw Ru Qian forward.
The girl with her movements still sealed could only fall on her face in front of Grand Master Xi.
Grand Master Xi looked down at the girl. He did not recognize her, but he did recognize her clothing. She was wearing the Arachnid Sect's uniform. As recognition flickered through his mind a noise drew his attention outside.
"Master, I have returned." None other than Master Lu had just returned from his mission.
Grand Master Xi closed his eyes. What was once a small matter was about to blow up. Only a blind fool would not know that Ai Li Sha had a special place in Master Lu's heart. Now that little girl had been attacked, how could Master Lu not want to seek revenge.
And in fact, he was right.
The first thing Master Lu noticed was Ai Li Sha or rather the welts on her arm, her ripped skirt and tattered shirt, the cuts on her legs and arms. His gentle smile quickly turned into a grimace which turned into a snarl.
"Who dared to hurt my little sister!" He asked and at the same time picked Ai Li Sha up into his arms protectively.
Ai Li Sha would normally have struggled at this point as she did not like Master Lu's clinginess, but she felt herself losing to her fatigue and instead snuggled into the warm embrace.
"Senior Brother Lu, if I am not wrong that is the uniform of the Arachnid Sect. Senior Brother Ren could not have been behind this could he?" Mi Rai asked tentatively, really hoping that was not the case.
"Ren?" Master Lu's eyes flashed with killing intent. Already the relationship between Master Ren and Master Lu was worse than terrible. It was not that Master Lu was picky or trying to fight against Master Ren, it's just that master Ren was too greedy and had tried to kill Master Lu on various occasions until Grand Master Xi had finally kicked him out of pine mountain.
Enmity born and bred trough blood was now the only connection between the two oldest disciples of Grand Master Xi.
"Remember what you promised me, Master?" Master Lu asked, holding Ai Li Sha just a little more tightly.
"I do." Was all Grand Master Xi said.
"Then I will be back."
Master Lu left Ai Li Sha with Mi Rai for treatment and then disappeared as if into thin air.

Several hours later Master Lu returned with a tied-up Master Ren in tow. Clearly Master Ren had been on the losing end of a fight, otherwise his face would not look like the cousin of a pig.
As soon as the beat-up man spotted Grand Master Xi he immediately fell to his knees. "Master! Master! This is an injustice, please help this disciple. I never harmed Master Lu; this is unfair treatment!"
Grand Master Xi was a man of few words but recalling the little boy he had raised almost like a doting parent.... His heart could only ache to see what he had become today. "Ren, before you were forced out of the sect I promised you your life, but only so long as you did not harm those within the Hana Sect. Despite exiling you I have kept an eye on you and tried to keep you on the right path...Today you have disappointed me." Grand Master Xi said with sadness in his tone.
"I did not Master! I have not!" The once cold faced, and proud master Ren was now pleading for his life as he groveled on the floor. Tears streamed down his pig face, because he knew, this time there was no way out.
"Then who is this?" At her master's words Mi Rai pushed Ru Qian forward, forcing her to kneel opposite Master Ren.
Seeing the girl Master Ren closed his eyes. It was over, one of his own disciples had now caused his death. He knew this girl was an arrogant bully and she had caused the death of many of his disciples. He had even sanctioned her actions at times, all because she had some talent.
Even if he were to say she was no longer part of the Arachnid sect there was no way Master Lu would let him go.
"Nothing more to say! Humph! Because of you my little sister has been harmed, now you choose. Live and I will destroy all your abilities to cultivate and cripple you or die by your own hand?" Master Lu presented two choices and felt he was already being extremely magnanimous. Any other person he would have directly poisoned to death slowly, and then torn them limb from limb!
It was not that he was cruel, rather he was cautious and wanted to remove all threats to those he loved!
