Chapter 17

I woke up thinking I was in my room, with my blue walls, but I was still at Autumn's house. I still had troubles with my dad, and we're slowly drifting apart. Ignoring this I thought of something I could have forever, Autumn.

"Morning Taylor. Sleep well? I know I didn't." It was Autumn sitting down then laying next to me.
"Yea, and your mom's really nice."
"Totally out of the blue, but did she say anything? She can talk so much all at once."
"Nah she didn't say anything."
"Oh okay good."

When Autumn left to go get ready for this Saturday I started to smell breakfast. I headed downstairs and I saw her mom cooking up biscuits and gravy.

"Looks great Mrs. How long did this take you?"
"Oh not long and thank you sweetie. I also called your dad and told him you were okay. I also saw your lock screen and that picture of you and Autumn is adorable! We're you in the cages?"
"Um yea. How'd you get in my phone?"
"No I just did the emergency call thing."
"Oh okay. It was fine anyway. What did my dad say?"
"He seemed worried. He asked automatically if you were alright and he wants you back home."
"Oh, I can't right now, but I'll go sometime or another."

She dropped her spoon in the gravy.

"Dang it! I hope you don't mind these apple fingers in this."
"No it's fine. Hah."

She yelled for breakfast and Autumn came down with a pink lace dress. Gosh she looked good.

"Hey Taylor. How long were you down here?"

Her eyes sparkled.

"Uh uh..."
"Earth to Taylor?"
"Sorry, hah. Ya."
"That's not what I asked."
"Oh no then?"
"Never mind." She punched me in the arm.

We ate breakfast and I warned Autumn about the finger gravy.

"Ding dong!"

The door bell rang with a blurry image through the steel door.
