Chapter 11

Jean walked away slowly carrying her books, and flower clip. She was into reading and stuff like that but, I'm glad Autumn is a athletic girl with good grades.

"Son time to go. We've got to get home. It's getting pretty late and who was those girls you were talking to?"
"It was just this girl that had a crush on me. Autumn told her off."

I winked at Autumn and mouthed the words "thank you".

We drove home and I ran inside because tonight the braves were playing on TV. It was really my favorite show, and I don't know much about other shows.

My tv speakers had surround sound so I could hear the "clink" all the way in my closet.

"Number 27 comes to bat. He swings, and first pitch! That was amazing Johnny!"

My phone started buzzing in a heartbeat fashion.

"Buzz buzz, buzz buzz."

I picked it up wondering why my phone was on silent.

"Hey? It Taylor, who's this?"
"Stupid it's Clide. I was asking you about a girl on the softball team with Rebecca, Autumn, and Ally."
"What about her?"
"Her name is Faith."
"Is she number 3?"
"Yeah, she came and sat next to me by the bleachers and I didn't know what to do so I just ran away like a stupid idiot."
"Hah, that's like the worst thing you could have done. I'll help you with it tomorrow at practice okay?"
"Thanks Tay Tay."
"Yeah never call me that again."
"Bye hotshot."
"Bye mushroom."

The phone buzzed off. I wonder why he called me hotshot.

We left to school as usual but this time I was wearing a blue shirt.
We got to school and I automatically spotted Autumn in the cafe with Faith. I walk over to Autumn and whispered into her ear.

"This is the girl that Clide likes so can you help me with that?"
"Yeah but you know you spit when you talk."
"Love you! So what's the plan."
"Um, tell her?"
"But she doesn't even know him."
"Yea she does. They're in the same classes together."
"Oh okay then do that."

We turned around grimacing. I couldn't help it so I had to push on my face to stop smiling.

"Uh guys what the matter?"
"Oh we have something to tell you" said Autumn looking at me.
"Yep. Feelings are going to be let free in this very room." I said trying to act very whitty.
"Gross."
"You know your just like this guy named Clide."said Autumn.
"Clide likes you!" I blurted out.
"Taylor! You're such a blabber mouth!" she laughed.
"Really?" She was amazed and ran away.
"I think she took that well." I winked at Autumn.
