How can they be so cruel!
They pushed her away,
Made her depression grow
More every day.
So what she's different?
I still love her the same!
Today she ran,
And they're to blame.
Autism, that's all they see,
But what about the girl hidden underneath?
My best friend, that's who she is to me,
Yet they can't see past this illness
She's amazing,
Wonderful
Strong and carefree,
Words, they're so hurtful
So why are they used?
Against the most vulnerable,
Most defenceless
Person at the table.
It's their fault,
I almost lost her,
She's so important!
Their words, so bitter.
The things they do,
It ruins her life,
She deserves acceptance.
Because of them, she grabs a knife
And begins to slice.
"I'm worthless", she says
As fate rolls the dice,
My prayers are answered,
She lives another day!
I'm relieved, yet terrified,
What will her parents say?
Will they care?
Of course not!
They help with the destruction!
These battles she's fought,
Not only with bullies, but with her family to!
She's losing hope,
Letting go,
Dear friend, this poem
Goes to show
That your needed here,
No matter what,
There's always someone
Who will open the door, the one to your heart, that has been eternally shut.
Keep on on fighting!
Hold on tight!

Hey guy(s) so it's been like an eternity since I updated sooooo,
HERE WE ARE!
Well this poem is dedicated to my friend who has autism,
A few days ago she ran away from my school and, luckily we found her shortly after, so that was terrifying,
I also found out she has depression, is suicidal and has been abused, and ontop of all that she gets verbally abused allot, so I really needed to write something for her because I can't imagine life without her.
But this poem can also be for anyone who is suffering, needs a friend or someone to talk to, I'm here, so just sent me a message and I'd be happy to help or chat or whatever you need❤💚💜💙💛💕
