Trying so hard
Constantly failing
Being ignored
It's like I'm sailing
On a sea all alone
Since this time
I've been shown
What it's like to feel rejected
To be that person
That catches no one's eye,
Who's always
"To quiet" "to shy"
Maybe, if they gave me a chance
They'd see me!
The one who smiles, and laughs
The real me!
That girl over there,
In the corner,
Sitting alone,
People tried to warn her,
"He'll break your heart!"
Is what they'd say,
Even though, he caused her pain,
To this very day,
She still feels the same!
That girl is me,
And this ain't no game
I've fallen hard,
For someone who can't see it
Doesn't seem to know, Doesn't seem to care
What my heart is for
He doesn't love me anymore.
The pain is unbearable
I find myself starring
So often, it's uncontrollable
His eyes, a blue so bright,
Yet dark, all at the same time,
His hair, a darker blond,
Put up in styles, that makes others laugh,
Yet I'm still oh so fond
The sweetest of people,
That's what he is to me,
And no matter how hard I try,
I can't make him see
We were always
Simply,
Meant to be.
