Meeting Will again was in a way like seeing someone for the first time, a mixture of curiosity and fear - a touch of light-headedness moved through Ian like a gentle current, and at the same time he felt hyper-aware, coming to terms with old feelings he couldn't name yet.
There was conversation - not discussion of the past but speedily catching up after four years in which one knew little about the other.
