Jerod picked me up from my house so we could go together over to Carissa and Scott's. They knew we were coming, but they didn't know what it was about. When we walked in, I couldn't help but notice the way my sister smiled at the two of us together. "Well hello you two. How is the lovely couple?" Carissa asked, giving me a knowing look that would have usually made me laugh.

Jerod looked at Scott. "We need to talk to you two. It's important." His mouth was a tight line.

Carissa looked like she was going to kill Jerod. "You didn't get my baby sister pregnant did you? Because I swear Jerod Callahan if you did and you are thinking about leaving her you better sleep with one eye open because I will be at your house so fast you won't know-"

"Carissa, stop it's nothing like that!" I piped up, trying to calm the raging look that my sister had in her eyes.

Scott grabbed Carissa's hand and led her over to the couch. Jerod and I sat facing them. "Okay, why don't you two tell us what's going on." Scott said calmly.

Jerod looked over at me and nodded before he began to talk. "Okay, so Lily and I met at the party that night. We started to get to know each other and we ended up falling for each other. Lily was under the impression that I still had a year of college left and I thought that she had graduated from high school already. Well, we were both in for a huge surprise this afternoon when she walked into my chemistry class. Little did we both know, that I am Lily's new chemistry teacher." He finished talking and looked straight at Carissa, probably to make sure she wasn't going to threaten him again.

Both Scott and Carissa sat in silence. They both looked shocked. I could understand though, I would be pretty shocked too if someone dropped a bomb like this on me. Scott was the first one to speak. "What are you two planning on doing?"

Jerod looked at the floor. "I suggested that we break up, even though that isn't the most appealing option, it would keep up both out of trouble. I don't need to get fired and Lily doesn't need to get suspended or whatever would happen to her."

It was my turn to talk now. "I don't want to break up. I think we can carry on a relationship and not get caught." I turned to Jerod. "I don't want to break up. I don't want to lose you." He nodded at me and took my hand in his.

My sister looked at us. If you didn't know better, we looked like a normal couple sitting there, holding hands. Except we weren't a normal couple. Our relationship was illegal and we would both be in huge trouble if anyone found out about us. Carissa looked straight at me and finally started to talk. "Listen Lily, I don't necessarily agree with this because of the consequences that could come from it, but I love you and I see how happy Jerod makes you. Scott and I will support whatever decision you two make and we will be here to help you. We love you both and I'm always here for you." I smiled and nodded at her, grateful to have such an amazing sister. "I think you two have a lot of talking to do. So, we'll go get some supper or something and you two can talk here." She was right. Jerod and I had a lot to talk about. Scott and Carissa left, leaving Jerod and I sitting there uncomfortably.

Jerod laughed and ran a hand through his thick hair. I looked at him like he was crazy. Why the heck was he laughing? "You know, if someone would have left us alone yesterday, we would have been making out like our lives depended on it." I put my face in my hands, upset by how much everything had changed in such a short amount of time. Jerod rubbed my back, trying to stop the tears that now flowed from my eyes. "It's okay Lily, we'll figure it all out. Everything will be okay." He pulled me into his arms and I was comforted by the feeling of being against him. He stroked his hand through my hair. "We need to talk about this. We have to figure something out."

I looked up at him, tears staining my eyes and my face. "Jerod, I don't know what to do. I honestly don't have a plan. Why don't we just lay low for a while. I don't want to take a break from us. We can still be a couple, we'll just be together out of the public eye. We can spend time together watching movies at your place instead of going to the theater. It won't be easy, but we can do it." I was pleading to him with my eyes. I wanted him to want to still be with me. I didn't want him to break up with me. I had finally found a guy that I wanted to be with.

H0e looked down at his shoes, obviously lost in thought. "Okay. For right now, we'll still be a couple, but we need to stay away from dating for a while. We need to lay low." He ran his hand through his hair.

I nodded, knowing that after things had settled down, it would be okay. "Will you take me home? I need to go to bed." He nodded and pulled me up off of the couch. We rode to my house in silence. When we got there, I mumbled a quick goodbye before booking it into my house. I told my parents I was home before getting to my room. I wrapped myself in my comforter and started to cry. I couldn't do this. Why did this have to happen? I finally find a guy that I like, and he turns out to be my teacher. This was crazy. At least we were still together--for now.
