Time started to move more quickly and before I knew it, senior year was half over. Finals were among us, causing everyone to be stressed and cranky. Jerod had tests and projects to grade and I had tests and projects to study for and finish. We only saw eachother once in the two weeks of testing. When we finally got out for Christmas break, I couldn't wait to spend it with Jerod.

One night, we were at his apartment, laying in eachother's arms. He grabbed my hand intertwined our fingers. I sighed. "I wish that you could come to my house for Christmas." He kissed the top of my head.

"I do too. But you and I both know that that's not a good idea at all. We need to hold off until after you graduate." He sounded upset, but confident.

"I know. But I hate it that we've been together for six months now and my parents don't even know that I'm dating someone. I can't tell them about us and I'm sure your parents wouldn't approve of you dating a student." He tightened his arms around me.

"It's going to be okay Lily. Summer will be here before you know it and you'll graduate. Then, we can tell anyone we want about us."

"I love you." I whispered, turning over so I was facing him. I kissed his lips lightly, causing him to groan.

"I love you more." He flipped me over so he was on top of me and started to tickle me. I laughed and begged him to stop until finally he crashed his lips down onto mine, effectively ending the tickling.

We spent a good part of Christmas break together. I spent a lot of nights at Jerod's apartment. I felt bad for lying to my parents, but being with Jerod was worth it. I went out with Addley and the guys a few times. I missed my friends and I refused to be one of those girls who completely cuts her friends out so she can be with her boyfriend.

On Christmas Day, Jerod went to his mom and dad's house and I stayed home and had Christmas with my family. It was hard not getting to spend Christmas with him, but I knew that this wouldn't last forever. After everyone had gone home on Christmas, Jerod texted me. 'When do you want your present?'

I smiled. 'That depends, what is it?'

He texted back a few seconds later. 'It's a surprise. Wanna come over tomorrow?'

'Of course I do. I'll see you then.' I went downstairs to find my mom and dad watching TV together. I sat down with them. "Mom? Can I spend tomorrow at Luke's house? We're all meeting up there."

My mom smiled. "Lily, don't you think you've been spending a lot of time away from home lately?" I gulped.

Luckily, my dad spoke before I could. "Oh Marsha, leave her alone. Graduation is coming up fast you know. She's not going to be in high school forever."

My mom nodded. "That's true. Alright honey, you can go. Have fun." I smiled and hugged her. I decided to spend the night hanging out with my parents. I didn't want them to think that my friends were more important then they were, because that was not true at all. I also didn't want my mom getting suspicious or questioning me about who I was spending time with.

When I got to Jerod's the next day, he was waiting at the door for me with a boquet roses in his hands In the middle of the red roses, there was one yellow lily. I smiled as he handed me the flowers. "Thank you! Oh my gosh, they're beautiful!" I loved roses.

Jerod looked at me lovingly. "You're beautiful. Merry late Christmas Lily." He kissed me quickly and led me over to his living room. "Are you ready for your present?"

"Jerod, the flowers are enough. They're beautiful." I set the bouquet down and got the present that I had for him.

"No they're not. Those are just to say I love you. This is your present." He handed me a wrapped box with a big ribbon.
