Tell Me You Love Me-Chapter 12

I woke up the next morning wrapped in Jerod's arms. I looked at the clock and saw that it was past 10 already. I felt Jerod stir beside me and I turned to face him. He was still asleep so I leaned up on my elbows and softly kissed his lips. He slowly woke up and started to kiss me back. I stopped kissing him and l looked into his eyes. He flipped us over so he was laying on top of me. "Good morning." He whispered and kissed my nose.

I smiled up at him. "Good morning." He brushed his lips against mine and pulled away from me again. "I had an amazing night last night." I said.

"I did too Lily. I love you." He was saying it over and over and I knew he loved saying it as much as I loved hearing it.

"I love you too Jerod." He rolled off of me and got out of bed. "Can we please just lay in bed together all day please?"

He laughed and pulled on a pair of jeans. "I can think of something else I'd rather do in bed all day, but I think your parents might get suspicious if you don't come home." I laughed and sat up. "If you want to shower, I'll get a towel out for you."

I walked into Jerod's kitchen an hour later, following the smell of cinnamon. I had on a button up shirt and a pair of shorts, ready for a casual day of relaxing. He turned at the noise and smiled at me. He pulled me into his arms and kissed me softly. "This is amazing." I said softly.

"What is amazing?" He pulled away and put a cinnamon roll on a plate for me.

I gladly took the food from him. "Being here with you. Being able to go out and be a couple and not worry about who sees us. I loved being at that party last night. I wasn't constantly looking to see who might see us together. I loved it." He smiled at me.

"I loved it too babe. But I love you more." He walked over to me and pinned me up against the counter and trapped me in his arms. Jerod kissed me with as much passion as he had in him. He started to unbutton my shirt. Jerod had gotten three buttons open when my phone started ringing. I groaned and pulled away from him and checked my phone. It was my mom.

"Shhhh. It's my mom." I said. She could not know that I was at his apartment. "Hello?" I answered. Jerod immedietally moved his mouth down to my neck, making it extremely hard for me to concentrate.

"Hi honey! Are you having fun with Addley?" I tried to push Jerod away from me, but he wouldn't budge.

I pushed him away from me and mouth the words 'knock it off' to him. He laughed and finished unbuttoning my shirt. "Yeah mom. We're having a lot of fun." I gasped as Jerod started to kiss my stomach.

"Honey, what's wrong?" She asked, sounding very concerned. Oh my gosh, this was not working. I could not concentrate.

"Oh, nothing mom. I just tripped and it startled me." I laughed to cover up another gasp that I let out as Jerod ran his tongue across my stomach on the same path his lips had made. I was seriously going to get him.

"Well, you need to be careful honey. I'm glad you're having fun. Carissa and Scott are coming over for lunch today. Carissa told me it was important, so you need to be home by noon." I looked at the clock, seeing that it was already 11:30. I groaned internally as Jerod continued to distract me.

"Ok, Mom. I'll be there. I promise." After hanging up, I looked down at Jerod, who was smiling guilty up at me. "Are you crazy? Are you trying to get my mom to know that I'm here and not at Addley's?" I didn't know whether to laugh or be mad. I pulled his mouth away from my stomach and started to button up my shirt.

He stood up. "I'm sorry Lily. Don't be mad." He kissed the corner of my mouth. "What time do you have to leave?" He sounded sad.

"I have to be home by noon. I should probably get going. I still need you to take me back to Carissa and Scott's so I can get my car and get home." Jerod nodded and I grabbed my bag.

When we pulled up next to my car. "Thanks for coming with me last night Lily. It was great. I love you." He leaned across and kissed me.

"I love you too Jerod. I had so much fun with you. I'll text you later." I got out of his car and into my own car. I made it home just in time because Scott's car followed me into my driveway.

When we all sat down to lunch, Carissa cleared her throat. "We have an announcement." She was beaming when she grabbed Scott's hand. "We're engaged!"
