Prom came quickly and despite the fact that I was very pregnant, we had a lot of fun. It was a little uncomfortable for me being the pregnant girl at prom. However, I had gotten used to the whispers and the judgment from the few people who still cared that I was pregnant. Most of the people from my school had moved on to the latest gossip that didn't include me. Luke, Addley, Austin, and I had a great time at our senior prom. It wasn't far from anyones mind that this was the last major event before graduation, and we were determined to make the most of it.

I was dancing with Austin when he got a grim look on his face. "Lily, can I ask you something."

I looked at him with a nervous look on my face. "Sure, anything."

He looked down and then looked back at me. "Did you and Mr. Callahan break up?" I was surprised by his question.

"How did you know?" I asked quietly, hoping no one would hear what I was saying.

"You seem a lot more sad lately and you are way more quiet than you used to be. He better not be being a jerk to you. Is he being nice to you still? What about the baby?"

Austin was starting to get mad. "Austin, calm down. We're doing fine. We are not together, but he's still being nice to me. He is planning on being part of the baby's life and he's coming around the the parenting idea."

Austin smiled. "I'm glad. But remember, I'm here for you. And if for some reason, he backs out and tries to bail on you and the baby, I will be here to step up and take care of you and this baby." He placed his hand on my belly.

I hugged him. "Thanks Austin. You're the best."

The rest of April passed and it was May before we knew it. Jerod and I didn't talk much. He went to all of my doctor's appointments and we bought everything together. He had made it clear that he planned to be a part of his child's life and that he wasn't going to ever abandon me. I knew that he hadn't dated anyone since we broke up and I wasn't even thinking about guys. My heart was set on one guy and one guy only. Senior year flew to a close and before I knew it, graduation had arrived.

I stood with Addley, Luke, and Austin as my mom took pictures of us in our caps and gowns. This was the day I had been waiting for since I had found out that Jerod was my teacher on the first day of school. I sighed and thought about everything that had happened to me since then. I never thought that we would end up breaking up. I also never thought that I would end up pregnant in high school. We took a few more pictures and then everyone went into the gym.

The ceremony went by and before we knew it, we were lining up to receive our diplomas. Mr. Moyer was reading names of our class as everyone proudly walked across the stage and received what they had been working towards for all these years. "Addley Elizabeth Daniels." Our principal called. I clapped and loudly yelled as my best friend walked up and shook the principal's hand. He called a few more names. "Lily Nicole Fox." I took my turn walking up and shaking his hand. He handed me my diploma and I smiled for my mom's camera. When everyone had gone through, Mr. Moyer turned to face the crowd. "Ladies and gentleman, the class of 2013!" We all took our caps off and tossed them into the air. I hugged Addley and we both started to cry tears of joy and accomplishment.

While we were standing in line being congratulated by our friends and family, Jerod walked up to me. "Congratulations. You did it."

I smiled. "Thanks. I really can't believe that high school is over." An overwhelming surge of pride went through me as I realized that I was officially done with high school.

"Did you figure out what you want to do about college?" Whenever something came up with the baby that we needed to talk about, Jerod would always ask me about college.

"Yeah, I'm going to take classes online for my first semester and then after I have the baby and and get my class schedule and work schedule balanced out, then I'll go back to school close enough that I don't have to move away. Carissa is going to watch the baby while I'm at school now that she is only working weekends. She told me that she's going to use our baby to prove to Scott that they are ready to be parents." We both laughed. My face got serious again and I looked at Jerod. "We can figure custody stuff out whenever you want."

He patted my shoulder. "Don't worry about that stuff yet. We'll figure that all out later. Just enjoy graduation." I smiled and thanked him again. He moved on down the line, congratulating the other graduates.

Carissa came running up to me and threw her arms around me. "Congratulations Lilly! You are a graduate! I'm so proud of you." I laughed and wrapped my arms around my big sister.

"I love you Carissa." I said and tears started to form in my eyes. She smiled and looked at me.

"I love you too Lily." My mom called to us to stand together and we took a million pictures together. Me in my cap and gown with my belly sticking out under my robe. Both of us had red rings around our eyes from all of the tears of joy and pride that we had shed that afternoon.

When we got done, Addley came over and we took pictures together. It made me sad that she was going to college so far away, but I knew that we would keep in touch. She was my best friend and nothing could keep us apart, not even 1,000 miles. Austin and Luke broke away from their families and came to stand with us. Luke wrapped his arms around Addley and I hugged Austin. My mom told us all to stand together. We looped our arms together and smiled for the camera. Graduation, college, and babies-I knew no matter what happened, these were my best friends in the whole world.
