Addley and I went to the mall after school on Thursday. We were roaming through stores, looking for the perfect dresses, when we saw a store advertising Halloween costumes. Addley squealed and dragged me in. "You have to look super sexy for the party on Saturday, especially if you're staying at his place. We walked up and down the aisles, browsing for the perfect costume. Something caught my eye and I turned to get a better look.

"Addley, I'm going to try this on. I'll be right back." I called over my shoulder, already heading for a dressing room. I went in and pulled the white dress over my head and tied it behind my neck. I knew that I could curl my normally straight blond hair to make the costume perfect. I stepped back and got a full look in the mirror. The Marilyn Monroe dress had a deep V in the front, showing cleavage in a way that wasn't slutty. It came down to my knees and was very flowy. I loved it. I stepped out of the dressing room and Addley smiled and clapped her hands together.

"Look at you Marilyn! You're beautiful! This is way better than a naughty cop. It's classier too." I nodded my head in agreement. "You should wear black heels. That would look awesome!" I laughed at how excited she was getting.

"I'm buying this. Now we just need homecoming items." The expression on Addley's face was priceless as she realized that we still had not fulfilled our original goal. I paid for my costume and we both found our homecoming dresses. Addley's was a short party dress that had a solid black top and a cheetah print skirt. There was a red ribbon that tied on the side, pulling the outfit together. My dress had a gold top that was covered in sequins. There was a champagne colored sash that tied in under the bust and a light gold skirt that was also had a dusting of sparkle on it.

The next day at school, everyone was happy and the air was practically buzzing about the homecoming football game and dance that night. When the bell rang signalling the end of school, everyone practically ran to the door to get out of school and ready for the festivities the night held. I told Addley that I had a question on the homework and that I would meet her at our lockers. When the door shut and everyone was gone, I smiled at Jerod. "What's up beautiful?" He asked, instantly smiling back.

"I need to talk to you about something." I needed to know if Jerod wanted me to stay at his apartment on Saturday night. I was worried that he would say no or he would feel put on the spot.

"Oh no. What's going on?" He looked panicked and I felt bad.

"It's nothing bad. I just have to ask you something. On Saturday night when we go to that party, I know that Carissa and Scott won't be there and I was thinking that, only if you want to, and don't feel like you have to say yes-" Jerod held up his hands.

"Lily, calm down. Just tell me what you need to say." He put his hands on the top of my arms, making me feel instantly better to have him touching me. I felt like we hadn't spent any alone time in way to long.

"Okay, I was thinking that on Saturday night after the party, I tell my parents that I was spending the night at Addley's house and maybe I could stay at your apartment. I've never been there and I want to spend more time with you. If you don't want to, I understand. It was just a suggestion." I could have rambled on a lot longer, but Jerod leaned in and kissed me, instantly shutting me up. I wrapped my arms around his neck, trying to make the kiss last as long as it could. We had both been so busy lately that it felt like we had no time for each other. Jerod pulled away and stepped back from me.

"We can't do this at school. But to answer your question, I would love for you to stay at my apartment on Saturday night. I'm kind of excited to get the chance to just be us. Away from anyone who can't know about us." I smiled at him.

"Listen, I have to go met Addley at our lockers. Are you going to the football game tonight?" I asked him.

Jerod nodded. "I'll also be chaperoning the dance tonight"

I groaned. "Jerod, it's bad enough that I have to sit here in class everyday and pretend like it had no affect on me. Now you're going to be at the dance too?"

Jerod laughed. "How do you think it's going to be for me having to see you in some sexy dress dancing with your friends and knowing that I can't put my hands on you or dance with you." He came up behind me and whispered in my ear. "I had no idea that my teaching had such a big impact on you." He placed a kiss on the pulse point beneath my ear, causing me to gasp.

"I have to go, Addley is going to get worried." He laughed and released me. "See ya later." With that, I left to go find my friends and make our way down to the football game.

30 minutes later, Addley, Luke, Austin, and I were sitting on the bleachers talking. "Why aren't you staying for the dance tonight? Now who am I going to dance with?" I was drilling him.

Austin just laughed. "I told you guys, I already have plans. And trust me, I want to keep my plans." He smiled to himself in the fact that he knew something we didn't.

Addley's impatience got the best of her. "Alright, what's her name and what does she look like?"

Austin faked shocked. "How do you know it's a girl? I might be planning to help my grandma knit a blanket tonight." He batted his eyes a couple of times.

"Shut up Austin, tell me what her name is." I seriously thought Addley was going to rip his throat out if he didn't say something soon.

"Ok, ok. Her name is Brianna." Austin looked straight at me.

"Are you serious? You're still with her? You do know that she's 21 right?" I yelled at him. Addley turned to me giving me a what-the-crap-why-didn't-you-tell-me look before we both turned back to Austin.

"No I'm not with her. We're just friends." He looked away, what a horrible liar.

"With bens." Luke said, causing us all to laugh. Just then, we heard a voice that I knew right away. My hands started to shake and I got goosebumps along my arms.

"Hi guys." We turned around to see Jerod standing there. The only thing I could think about was how hot he looked, but that thought was never far from my mind.

Addley put on her best flirty face. "Hi Mr. Callahan, what are you doing here?" I mentally face palmed.

Jerod laughed. "I'm here to watch some football, Ms. Daniels." She smiled at him.

"Me too. I love football." Addley batted her long eyelashes at him and I could barely hold in the laugh. She knew nothing about football and only came to the games because it was a social event.

Jerod turned to me. "What about you Ms. Fox, are you a football fan?" I gulped.

"Um, yeah, I guess. It's cool." I was trying not to stutter or look like he had an affect on me. I turned away from him and back towards the field in hopes that he would go away and stop tormenting me. I felt Jerod's hand slide across my back and goosebumps instantly erupted along my skin.

"Oh, I'm sorry Ms. Fox. Exuse me." I rolled my eyes. This was going to be a long night.
