The days passed by and Seungkwan started feeling a little better. Even though he was still sore, it wasn't as bad as it had been. His bruises had gotten lighter and the cuts around his lips and eyes were healing.
While they stayed at Seungkwan's apartment, Hansol was taking care of everything. He made food for Seungkwan, made sure he could get dressed without having to overstrain his muscles, went out for groceries and was overall just giving Seungkwan what he needed. Love and care. That's all Seungkwan needed right now.
Hansol had managed to make Seungkwan smile again as the days passed. Just being around each other was enough for Seungkwan to forget about what happened, even if it was just for a little while. Though every time, Seungkwan couldn't help but think about what would happen when they go back to school. He knew it wouldn't be good. And he knew Hansol would get hurt. And he absolutely hated that thought. If there was one thing he hated, it was seeing Hansol sad or in pain. He had seen it before and it just made his heart hurt so much. Hansol was the most important person on earth to Seungkwan. Nothing mattered more than him. Nothing would ever matter more than him and he'd do anything to keep him from getting hurt. But at this point Seungkwan was just so scared. He didn't want to go back to school. He knew Dongwook and his friends would be around there and Seungkwan really didn't want them to see what a pathetic mess he had become and how scared he actually was. But he knew he couldn't hide forever. If he did, they'd only get what they wanted and there was no way Seungkwan was gonna let them win. He'd figure something out, even if he didn't have that much time left.
Today was Sunday which meant he'd have to face his fears tomorrow. And explain to his friends what happened. Another thing he really didn't want to. He knew how his friends are, they really wouldn't take this lightly. Especially Seungcheol. If anything, Seungkwan thought he might join Hansol in his revenge plan.
Hansol was currently making breakfast for Seungkwan, while Seungkwan sat in the couch just watching him. Hansol slept without his shirt and for some reason he had thought it unnecessary to put one on when he got up. So there he was, shirtless in Seungkwan's kitchen, probably burning the eggs he was making. But still, Seungkwan had to admit he didn't mind the view. He could definitely get used to it.
He got up from the couch and walked up to Hansol, quietly, to make sure Hansol wouldn't notice.
When he was right behind him, Seungkwan snaked his arms around Hansol's waist and rested his head on the boy's bare back.
"Have I told you at all that I really love you and I'm so thankful that you're here? Because I do, and I am." Seungkwan said softly while he hugged Hansol tightly. He honestly didn't know what he would do without him here. Even though he had told Seokmin not to tell Hansol, right now he was so glad that Seokmin was a terrible liar. And maybe by telling Seokmin, he kinda knew that Hansol would find out and maybe that was kinda what he wanted. Either way he felt relieved to have Hansol here. And he still didn't quite understand what he had done to deserve such a beautiful person by his side.
"I love you too Seungkwanie, more than anything. And you never have to thank me, I'm just happy I get to be here with you. Even if the situation is less than ideal right now." Hansol turned around in Seungkwan's arms so he could look at him. He pushed a strand of hair out of Seungkwan's face and softly ran his finger over the cut by Seungkwan's lips.
"Does it still hurt?" He then asked hesitantly. He still felt really bad seeing Seungkwan's beautiful face so busted. Luckily the bruises weren't as noticeable anymore but the cuts were still clearly there and Hansol was afraid they might turn into scars.
"Not as much as it did. It'll be fine in a little while. Don't worry about it." Seungkwan smiled a little but Hansol knew he was still hurting.
He leaned in and ever so gently placed a kiss on Seungkwan's lips. Making sure not to hurt him.
"I'm sorry..." he kissed his lips again.
"I promise to take better care of you from now on..." Seungkwan smiled a little. A small one but a real one.
"You don't have to take care of me silly. I'm the older one, if anything I should be the one taking care of you." Seungkwan joked as he softly hit Hansol's chests.
"I'm sorry hyung, I just can't help it. You're so small and cute, you make me want to protect you." Hansol teased, happy to see Seungkwan smiling again and he would love for this moment to last forever.
"Ew don't call me hyung, that's weird." Seungkwan scrunched his nose in disgust and it made Hansol chuckle at how cute he looked.
"See! You're so adorable how could I not want to take care of you?" Hansol joked as he pinched Seungkwan's cheeks.
Seungkwan flinched and Hansol immediately let go.
"Oh my god Seungkwan I'm so sorry! Did I hurt you? Are you okay? I'm sorry baby I didn't mean to hurt you!" Hansol panicked and didn't dare to touch Seungkwan in case he'd hurt him again so his hands just sorta awkwardly hovered over Seungkwan.
But just as Hansol was about to run off to get an ice pack, Seungkwan started laughing. He wasn't actually hurt, he just wanted to see Hansol's reaction. And he couldn't be more pleased to be completely honest.
"I'm sorry babe, I just had to!" Seungkwan said, in between giggles.
"You mean little thing! You scared me. God I thought I hurt you. Don't laugh at me, you evil little thing." Hansol breathed in and out dramatically as he put a hand on his chest.
Seungkwan could see him actually shaking and he felt half guilty, half a thousand times more in love with the person Hansol was. Such a little thing could make Hansol so worried and it showed just how much Hansol cared.
"I'm sorry babe, here, I'll make it up to you." Seungkwan calmed himself down and as Hansol's eyes widened in curiosity, Seungkwan pulled him closer and pressed his lips on Hansol's. A little longer than their previous kiss and with a little more lust. Not that there was really anything lustful about the kisses they shared. Especially right now, it was just their way of showing how happy they were to be together.
"Don't ever scare me like that again Seungkwan, I thought I'd hurt you. How do you expect me to live with myself knowing I hurt you?" Hansol was being a total drama queen in Seungkwan's opinion but he secretly really liked how dramatic Hansol was being about such a minor thing.
"Just don't leave me. That's the only thing you could do to hurt me." Seungkwan said, half jokingly, half serious. After all it was the truth. There was nothing Hansol could do to actually hurt Seungkwan besides that.
"Never. You're never gonna get rid of me you know that." Hansol smiled sweetly as he pulled Seungkwan closer again.
"Promise?" Seungkwan said as he held out his pinky.
Hansol locked his pinky with Seungkwan's and pressed their thumbs together.
"Promise." He smiled even wider. It was little gestures like this that made him fall in love with Seungkwan in the first place. Just the little validations that Seungkwan needed and that Hansol would always be willing to give.
Seungkwan hugged Hansol again, enjoying the warmth of his bare chest as he breathed in that familiar scent that he loved so much. Along with... something else.
"Babe... you might wanna turn off the stove, I think you're burning the eggs." Seungkwan chuckled as he let go of Hansol who immediately started cursing under his breath while he turned off the heat and shoved the pan away before it caught fire.
"This is your fault for distracting me Seungkwan, I would've made perfectly fine breakfast if it wasn't for you." Hansol said, lowkey bitter but still kind of laughing at himself, it was really a wonder that the entire place hadn't burnt down by now.
"I doubt it~" Seungkwan chanted as he walked back to the couch while Hansol took out a new pan and tried again. This time, making sure to keep an eye on his food.
Focusing on anything had proven particularly difficult to Hansol whenever Seungkwan was around lately. He just wanted to stare at the cute blonde the entire time, he was just so mesmerising. Even his second attempt at making the eggs almost failed as he just kept glancing at the boy on the couch every now and then, getting hooked on the view and forgetting what he was doing to begin with.
As the boys finished their breakfast, Hansol turned to Seungkwan to ask him what he wanted to do today. Hansol himself kinda wanted to get Seungkwan out of the apartment but he knew it would be difficult. The bruises and cuts were still visible on Seungkwan's face and the blonde was embarrassed to go out like that.
"Can't we just stay in for today and enjoy our time before we have to go back to school..?" Seungkwan whined as he tugged on Hansol's sweater. There was no way Hansol would be able to resist that adorable pout and especially when he was that close to him. He put his hands on Seungkwan's waist and pulled the boy closer so their stomachs were pressed together. Seungkwan let out a little huff of air because of the impact and because his ribs still kinda hurt but forgot about the pain as he was met with Hansol's beautiful eyes and his adorable smile.
"How can I resist anything you say when you look at me like that, Kwannie? It's not fair." He smiled as he leaned down to the point where their foreheads were touching.
Seungkwan rested his head on Hansol's chest and wrapped his arms tightly around his taller frame.
"You're the best, Chwe Hansol." Seungkwan said in a muffled voice.
"I know..." Hansol grinned as he held Seungkwan close to him.
So they decided to spend their last day alone in the apartment watching movies and playing games in which Seungkwan always mysteriously won even tho he's pretty bad at games, while Hansol just smiled at him.
