Thomas was about done with W.I.C.K.E.D.'s games. Actually by this point in time, there was no "about" to it. Thomas was done. He was tired of them treating his friends like lab rats. And the worst part is what he saw his best friend do.
(Mild spoilers to TDC when Newt talks about what happened)
Thomas had to watch as Newt climbed up one of the maze walls and jumped, trying to die. He immediately looked away, in disbelief that his best friend would do something like that. It pained him to watch Newt push himself off that wall. He couldn't take it anymore. All Thomas wanted to do was be done with it all. What was hurting him the most was seeing his love. Trapped in the middle of those four walls, knowing there was no way out.
He stopped and he ran from the room in the W.I.C.K.E.D. compound. The next thing Thomas knew, he was getting his memories wiped and he was about to be put into the maze. The last thing Thomas saw was the disappointed look on Ava Paige's face as she was watching the workers prep Thomas to be put into the maze. And that was it.
I cut this a lot shorter then I originally intended to. But I have an idea for another book that I want to start so I figured I'd just sum up the ending to this book. So, it's being continued over on the page of beccaplier2004 so if you want to read the sequel to My Little Runner you can. Rebecca currently has some of this story started, but she's going to go back through and change it up some to fit my story line and I'm going to help her do so.
