Jimin
It had been a month since I had arrived, and I was finally allowed to have visitors. I was so excited, and looking forward to seeing my family. I got up early that morning, and was showered and dressed before Hoseok even woke up. I was sitting on my bed trying to calm myself down when he finally woke up.
"God Jimin what time is it?"
"It's almost breakfast time"
"Why are you up so early?"
"I'm excited about, today aren't you?'
"A little, my sister is coming I think" and he had a small smile on his face
He had told me about his family, and how it was pretty much just him and his sister. I couldn't believe parents could be so cold to their children. My father was strict, and he wasn't the warmest person on the planet, but he was like father of the year compared to Hoseok's father. I knew his sister meant a lot to him, and that they were very close though. After breakfast we sat in the day room and waited for them to arrive. My family came first, and I jumped up and ran to them. My mother hugged me so tight I couldn't breathe, and Jihyun punched my arm and asked me how I was. My father gave me a pat on the back, and said it was good to see me. I took them into the dining area and we all sat down. There was coffee and tea making stuff, so I made them a drink and joined them again
"How are you Jimin?" my mother asked
"I'm actually pretty good" I told her with a smile
"You look well" my father added
"I feel much better, and I ate almost half of what was on my plate last night"
"That's great news" my mother was smiling at me
We chatted away for a while, and I watched out of the corner of my eye when Hoseok's sister arrived. She was with another girl, but I couldn't see her properly. Oddly Hoseok's sister looked familiar, but I couldn't figure out where I had seen her before. They came towards us and I jumped up suddenly recognising the other girl with them.
"Yuna?"
"Jimin!"
"What are you doing here?" I asked her
"I came to visit Hoseok with Jiwoon" she said pointing to Hoseok's sister
"Hi Jimin" Jiwoon greeted me
"You all know each other?" Hoseok looked puzzled
"Yes, Yuna goes to my school, and we were going to enter a dance competition together"
"You were Yuna's dance partner? I saw you once getting into the elevator"
"I saw you getting out" I laughed "That was the day I ended up in the hospital"
"Wow what a coincidence" Hoseok smiled
I introduced them all to my family, and I saw my father tense up when I mentioned dancing. But he was polite and stood up to bow to them all and said hello. When it was time for them all to go I walked my family to the door and my mother hugged me tight again, my father shook my hand and Jihyun punched my shoulder again. I saw tears in my mother's eyes and embraced her again
"I'm ok mum I promise" and I smiled at her
"I just miss you "she sniffled
"I'm getting better every day, and I know I'm going to win in the end"
"I'm proud of you My Jimin"
I waved them goodbye, before saying goodbye to Yuna and Jiwoon, then I left them alone to say their goodbyes to Hoseok, and went back to my room. When he came in a little while later he looked happy and I was really happy for him
"What a coincidence hey" he said
"It's weird isn't it?"
"Yeah, a little bit, who would have thought. You know we both ended up in the same hospital at the same time, and then we both ended up here, I think someone wanted us to meet Jimin"
"I was thinking the same thing. I think we were fated to meet Jung Hoseok"
JHope
After Jiwoon and Yuna left I went back to my room, and Jimin and I sat chatting on our beds about the fate that had bought us together. I had never thought about fate before, I just did what I had to do each day and got on with things. But the more I thought about it, the more I realised he was right. When I looked at Jimin I saw a beautiful boy full of happiness, trying desperately to let that happiness shine through, and fighting a battle in his head that he was determined to win. He didn't see himself that way though. He saw himself as nothing and nobody. Weak and stupid. I was doing well, and hadn't even thought about the pills for some time. And oddly I really enjoyed being there. I could be myself, and I didn't have to pretend, and it was liberating and wonderful. I wanted to give that to Jimin. I wanted him to see how truly wonderful he was, and I wanted him to learn to just be Jimin.
"I still haven't seen you dance" I said to him after a while
"That's right I promised you didn't I? Right lets go, I'm feeling good a I want to dance"
We went back out to the day room and put on some music. As soon as the music started his whole body changed, it seemed to relax and his face looked like he was in a trance and completely lost in the moment. He began to dance, and my mouth dropped open. He was awesome. It wasn't just the way he moved, it was the expressions on his face, and the control he exhibited.I Didn't know why, or what it was, but he looked like a completly different person. When he was done there was a cheer and clapping behind us, and I turned around to see all the staff and other patients standing there with looks of awe on their faces.
"Jimin that was amazing" I went over and hugged him
"Its nothing compared to you"
"Don't be silly you're a beautiful dancer Jimin"
"Thanks"
After that we spent as much time as we could in the day room, music going and copying routines we had seen on TV or the internet. It was like something had shifted in both of us. I was determined to be a bright happy positive me, and Jimin seemed to feel the same way. He started eating better and smiling and laughing a lot more.
A week later and it was visiting day again, I knew Jiwoon was coming and Jimin said his mother was too. We were both looking forward to it, and were up early, and in the dining room before anyone else, when they arrived we all sat together talking and laughing. Jimin's mum was such a warm caring person, I could see where he got it from, and I envied him. Yuna came back too, and she, Jimin and I decided to show the others our dancing, and we even got the karaoke machine out and everybody had a go. Just after our visitors left a nurse came to tell Jimin that he had another visitor, but as visiting hours were over he would have to be quick. He looked puzzled as he left the room. I'd never really heard him mention anyone else, so I was curious too. I walked out with him to the day room, but as we got to the end of the hallway he stopped dead, and I crashed into the back of him. I saw him looking at someone standing by the nurse's station holding a bunch of flowers. He turned to me, and with a little fear in his eyes he said simply
"Don't leave me Hoseok" and he took my hand as we walked forward.
