Serendipity 2 JHope and Jimin

Part 24

JHope

Yoongi and Jimin had gone to the hospital, and the rest of us were still sitting around in the living room.

"Poor Jimin" Sasa said "I'm glad Yoongi went with him"

"So's Jimin "JK laughed

Jin swatted him over the back of the head

Namjoon was sitting beside Sasa on the couch, his arm draped causally over the chair behind her, playing with her hair unconsciously. He did that all the time, touched her without even knowing he was doing it, and she never reacted either. It was like they were both so used to it that it didn't even register in their minds. The rest of us noticed though, and we often talked about it amongst ourselves. The fact that they were basically a couple, they did everything together, went out to eat together, spent hours alone together, heads down devising strategies for the group, and no matter where they were,, or what they were doing, they somehow managed to be next to each other or touching each other in some way. If you asked either of them what it was all about, they would look at you genuinely confused, and have no idea what you were talking about.

"We better start cleaning up a bit "Jin said getting up

"Leave it Jin I'll do it later"

"Its your birthday, you shouldn't have to clean up "he said picking up glasses and plates and heading for the kitchen.

"I was just about to go to bed "JK yawned

"You go JK, honestly ill do it later, you better take him with you"

She gestured to Tae, who had fallen asleep an hour ago with his head resting on my lap, his face a perfect picture of innocence. No one looking at him would ever believe all the shit that that kid had been through. Jin came back and Sasa forced him to stop cleaning up and going to bed by telling him she needed him at his handsome best in the morning for a photo shoot. That did the trick, and he said goodnight. Namjoon yawned and got up as well
"Goodnight" he called out as he left the room.

It was just Sasa and I left so she moved over to my side on the couch and I put my arm around her shoulders.

"Did you have a nice birthday?"

"I always have a nice birthday with you guys"

"You haven't opened any of your gifts yet" I said gesturing to the pile on the table in front of us

"We were having too much fun I forgot" she smiled

"Open them now I want to see"

"Ok pass me one"

I picked up a gift at random and passed it to her, she read the card on top

"Its from Namjoon" she said opening the gift and then stopping and staring at it with her mouth open.

"What is it?" I asked her

"How?" was all she said

In her hand was a battered old copy of Romeo and Juliet.

"I don't understand "she looked at me and I saw tears pooling in her eyes

"What's wrong?"

"This book. It was his as a child, and I found it the day I met him in the old shed and claimed it for myself. This book was the reason Mina found us. And I was reading this book the day that Yoongi and Namjoon came home from JYP. I used to carry it around every where with me like a good luck charm. But a couple of years ago I left it in a park where I had been reading it. It almost broke my heart. "

"And Namjoon found it? Whoa" I whistled.

"He must have searched the whole country for it?" she was still holding it in her hand and staring at it

"Oh, that must be why he went to Busan the other week"

"He went where?"

"Busan, remember he asked for a couple of days off? "

"I remember that, but I thought he went home to see his family"

"No, he told me he had to go to Busan, that he some things he needed to do there"

"Busan is four hours away" she said breathlessly

"So, let me see if I have this right? He knew you lost your book, and how much it meant to you, and searched the country for it. And when he found it, he drove four hours away to go get it. Sasa if this doesn't convince you the boys in love with you nothing will"

she looked up at me and there were real tears now. I tightened my arm around her and she laid her head on my shoulder.

"I'm sorry Hobi"

"What for?" I was confused

"I see your face when you look at him"

I sighed. I couldn't deny it.

"Want to talk about it?"

"No I'm nearly drunk enough for that conversation"

"well let's fix that" and she ran off to the kitchen

When she came back she had a bottle of tequila and two shot glasses

"You up for it? "she raised one eyebrow while wiggling the bottle in front of me
"Why the hell not. Pour them out woman" I said smiling and siting forward in my chair

She poured out two shots and handed me one.
"Let's make it more interesting, we each ask a yes or no question, and if the answers yes you take a shot, if it's no two shots."

"Ok I'll go first"

"No, its my birthday I get to start"

"fine ask away"

"Have you ever been kissed?" I took the shot, and then reached over to pour another before downing it

'Your turn" I told her" "Have you ever been kissed?" she looked like she was thinking about it
"Sasa surely you now if you've been kissed or not?"

"I was just wondering if being attack kissed by Yoonjae once counted?"

"No" I said "That wasn't a kiss that was an assault"

"Ok then" and she took two shots

"Hobi h,ave you ever stolen anything?" I took two shots " I never needed to, I could just go buy anything I wanted"

"Sasa, have you ever stolen anything?" she took one shot "When we ran away and had nothing to eat, I once swiped some cheese for Yoongi because he said he was hungry" she was laughing

And so, it continued with the questions getting ever more absurd. An hour later we were both very drunk, and giggling like a couple of kids rolling around on the couch.

"We need to go to bed" I said to her checking the time
"Is that a proposition?" she laughed at me

"Very funny Miss" and I pulled her in for a hug, and she lay her head on my shoulder again. We stayed like that for awhile, not speaking, both of us lost in our own thoughts.

"Hobi I have one more question for you"

"What's that? "

'Do you love him?"

There was a very simple answer to that, so I leaned over and poured out a shot and downed it, then I put the glass down.

We both sighed and went back to the silence.
