Part 31

Jimin

Yoongi had barely spoken to me since I came home from the hospital. I had tried to corner him and get him alone for five minutes to talk, but he seemed to suddenly be Mr sociable and always surrounded by people. I had gotten the full story of what had happened from the others, and I was still having trouble trying to process it all. Basically, Sasa and I had been bait to get Yoongi and Namjoon to the house. When I thought about what could have happened I shivered. Sasa had changed too, she wasn't herself anymore at all. She had broken up with Namjoon the next day, and none of us could understand why. We would find her at times, staring vacantly into space, or if we were all sitting around laughing and joking she would get up and leave the room. I could no longer see the happy young girl that had bounced over to Mina, Hoseok and I the day we met her.

Namjoon avoided her at all costs, and I really couldn't blame him. The poor guy was just as confused about it as we were. They didn't speak to each other at all for a while after, and would relay messages about work and schedules through the rest of us.

I was determined to get Yoongi to talk me, and I knew there was only one place he would be sure to be alone for any length of time, the genius lab. So, one afternoon I went down there and knocked

"Come in"

He looked a little surprised to see me and then his expression changed, and he got nervous, and wouldn't look at me

"Yoongi do you have a minute?"

"Only a minute I'm pretty busy" and he sat down at his desk

'Yoongi please look at me?" he slowly turned his chair to face me, but kept his eyes on the ground

"What's wrong? Please Tell me?" he continued to look down and didn't answer

"I'm not leaving until you talk to me"

"Jimin just leave it alone Ok"

"No not ok, I'm worried about you"

"Well don't, I don't need you to worry about me"

"I know you don't need me to, but I can't help worrying about the man I love"

"Don't say that" he said it so harshly

"Why not? I've always said it, why is now different?" he went back to ignoring me

"Yoongi this is going to take a long time if you keep ignoring me. Why is now different?" I asked again

"Because before some asshole hadn't used you as a pin cushion to hurt me" he said it quietly but with venom in his voice

I thought I understood then, and wanted to hug him and shake him all at the same time

"When I saw you lying there on the floor covered in blood, I thought you were dead, and my whole world just stopped. The thing is, my sister was there too, and I barely saw her injuries I was too focused on you. See that's the problem, I'm always so focused on where you are and what you're doing that I can't concentrate on anything else. And the very fact that Yoonjae knew I'd come for you, out of all the people in my life, tells me that everyone else sees it too. "

"So, your saying you don't want me around you anymore?"

"NO! ....I mean....... I just...... I don't know"

"Yoongi I'll leave you alone and forget about us, if that's what you want ,just say so and its done"

"I can't say that.... Part of me wants to say that ......And part of me wants to grab you right now and hold on tight"

"Well let's listen to the second part shall we" I tried to get him to smile "Stand-up"

I didn't think he would at first, but slowly he rose out of his chair, and I went and stood in front of him

"No matter what Yoongi, we are both going to feel this way. Whether we want to keep each other safe, or we don't want to think about each other its still going to happen. And all the threats and wounds, and hateful comments in the world isn't going to stop me form loving you. So, I'm giving you a choice right now. We can continue on as before and be happy, or I will leave you alone and not bother you with my I love you's and stolen looks and kisses"

"Jimin" and he wrapped me in his arms around me all of sudden "No please don't leave me?"

I finally got Sasa alone after two days of trying. Everyone was either out or in their rooms when I found her in the kitchen nursing a cold cup of coffee and staring blankly down into it.

"Hey, can I get you a refill?" I asked her

"Oh... No that's ok, I was just going back to my office" and she started to get up

"Sit"

"Hoseok?"

"I want to talk to you"

"About what?"

"Namjoon"

"There's nothing to talk about"

"I don't believe you"

"I don't care what you believe"

"This isn't you Sasa. What is going on with you?"

'Nothing I'm fine"

"Clearly, you're not, you hardly speak to any of us anymore, and its all business when you do. You spend hours a day staring at nothing and lost inside your own head, and you broke the heart of the man you have loved since you were a teenager. That my dear is not fine"

"Just leave it alone Hoseok it's my business"

"It's all our business when you're hurting"

"I'm not hurting "

"Liar"

"I'm not"

'Would you cut it out?" I was getting angry with her now "Would you like to know what I think?"

"Not particularly" I ignored her and continued
"I think something else happened that night. Something that hurt you badly "

"Your'e delusional, what the hell else could there be? Don't you think we went through enough?"

"Then what is it?"

"I told you, it's nothing. I just need some time to get over it all I guess, I'll be fine soon enough"

"And Namjoon? Is he supposed to just get over it too?"

"Yes, he has to"

"Just give me one good reason why you did it and I'll leave you alone"

"Really? You want me to go there?"

"I do"

"All right, but remember you forced it. I don't love Namjoon anymore, I hadn't for a while but hadn't had the chance to do anything about it, after that night I realised I had to do it. Can I go now?"

I simply nodded. She was lying through her teeth and we both knew it. But I wasn't going to push any further for now. I went to speak to Namjoon, but there was no way I was telling him what she had said, it would break him. so, I just told him that she refused to talk to me and left it at that.

Time moved on, and we slowly got back to a semblance of normal. Sasa came back to herself, but it took a long time. Her and Namjoon didn't speak to each other for months afterwards, but eventually they started to behave as if they had never been together, and had always been just friends. Yoongi and Jimin pretended not to be together as they had before, but Yoongi was fooling no one, and so, our lives went on
