Pointing my sword towards the chest of the enemy, he used up his last breath as he panted.

"King Jeong Jong is on the way to the palace now. And he will return to this throne." The sickening man chuckled using his last breath before I stabbed him dead.

To this very moment, my vision was very clear. I took a deep breath and got up from the dead body, whose eyes was still staring back at me lifelessly.

I turned towards my fellow comrades and commanded, "TO THE PALACE!". I hopped up to a random horse and started galloping back.

Goryeo city was under attack again as we were a minute late. I charged my way towards the unrestricted palace gates and it was a chaos too.

"King Jeong Jong, come out!" I screamed at the top of my lungs after getting down from my horse.

I dashed towards the court hall where the throne was but only to find it empty. A sudden thought came to me when I realised that the evil King could have gone to the Queen.

"Damn it!" I cursed before heading my way out again.

A group of assassins were waiting outside and they surrounded me when I tried to escape.

"Princess Hwa Yeon." One of them called.

"Get out of my way if you don't want to be killed." I threatened as I glared them daggers.

"I promise you will be free if you will just do us a favor."

"Over my dead body." I cried and charges towards the nearest assassin as I slashed him across his chest with my sword.

A sword came flying towards me and slashes across my cheek just by a tiny bit.

I cringed in pain as I felt blood on the spot.

Curse these assassins! I have to stay alert and becareful before I reach the Queen's chambers!

"This is why you should never ignore us princess! Now you have to die!" The enemy roared in to laughter when I was getting weak from fighting.

Shit...I don't think I can hold on any longer.

Just then, I heard someone shouting for me at a far distance. My eyes narrowed and zoomed to find the person I was not expecting to see.

"Princess Hwa Yeon!!" Prince Wang Eun dashes towards me quickly.

"No! Get away!" I tried my best to yell back.

The silly boy was already by my side as he tried to protect me from the enemies.

"I told you to get away! Do you want to die?!" I exclaimed irritatingly.

"I won't lose you again!" He cried as he spread out both of his arms defensively.

What are you talking about at a time like this?!

I stared at his back sadly.

You know it will be the end if both of us get hurt.

Catching the opportunity that I was distracted, another sword came flying towards me. But I was not going to let anyone die yet, I pulled Prince Wang Eun back and hit the sword away from us.

"Let's run!" I shouted as I pushed us further in to the court hall.

These assassins just wouldn't go as dozens of them chased after us. There were a sudden clanking sound outside as General Park had arrived with help.

I used this chance and attacked the remaining until they were all lying on the floor motionless. We made an eye contact with one another while General Park nodded to me that he got the place undercovered.
