"Hak..." Yona cooed, trying to get Hak's attention.
"Hak!" She snapped and Hak flinched, awakening from his trance.
"You okay?" Yona asked.
"Yeah... I was just dozing a little" Hak muttered. The poor guy looked exhausted...
I zoned out of their childishness as I strode up the front, leading the way. The four dragons walked behind me. They where obviously disturbed by what Hak had said before. They where talking in hushed tones, so Princess Kouren did not hear them
I decided to ignore them, and glanced up in surprise when I heard a familiar squawk.
"Oh, it's you" I dead panned, holding out my arm as my hawk landed on my arm.
"A hawk?" Tao asked.
"Yes, I bought him, mainly to contact Soo-won about Yona's plan, but he might come in handy" I hummed.
"Might? That seems like a bad reason to buy a bird" Vold said, coming up beside me.
"I wasn't just going to rent him. They where treating the birds horribly, so I got the 'worst' bird" I said as the hawk climbed up onto my shoulder.
"You must be really good with animals" Algira grinned, coming up on my other side. I suddenly felt something hit me back in the head and I almost tumbled over. I felt the back of my head, and much to my surprise I found a jealous squirrel.
"Not again" I grumbled.
"VERY good with animals" Vold smirked.
I picked up Ao, putting him on my other shoulder as I studied the area around us.
"What was Hak talking about?" Vold as me quietly. I glanced up at him, raising an eyebrow.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"Something about Kouka's weapon" Algira said quietly. I sighed, crossing my arms.
"I was originally going to be used as that. But King Il decided that I would be a better body guard" I hummed, crossing my arms.
"So you must be skilled! Duel me some time!" Vold declared.
"I don't fight for no reason" I scolded, neither of us bothering to be quiet any more.
"This wouldn't be for no reason! It's for us to see how good you are!" Algira declared.
"Which is pointless. Duels are dumb and immature" I said, crossing my arms.
"Immature...?" They both muttered.
"Zeno?" Shin-ha suddenly asked behind us. We turned to find him staring at the sky.
"There's something bad in the air. It's something I've felt before. Back in the Kai Empire, Kin Province, when the defeat soldiers charged in. Many people's anxiety and hatred... Were mixed together. A dark, dusky feeling..." Zeno muttered.
"I can see the encampment. Let us search for Yokata" Vold said, going to hurry forward. But we where stopped by a line of Soldiers, civilians and cloaked people. This looked ominous.
"What is this...?" Hak muttered.
There was suddenly a crack. I turned around to find a rope around Shin-ha's neck.
"Seiryuu!" Zeno cried as Shin-ha's body was thrown backwards and he was dragged across the ground. Both of my daggers where in my hand in a second.
