I strode straight into Kuuto, the capital of Kouka.
It had been a while since I had last been here, and once again I was sneaking through the town. but this time, I went straight to the gates.
"Who are you?" The guards called as I neared. I pulled my hood off, keeping my hands ready to grab my daggers or ready to run.
"My name is Azumi. I am a friend of the king" I said.
"Oh, it's you" Kye-sook growled, appearing at the top of the gate.
"Oh! It's the bratty adviser!" I smiled, waving.
"I shouldn't let you in for that, but I'm afraid King Soo-won has been waiting for you. He heard word from the fire tribe and has been anxious for your arrival" Kye-sook said.
I sighed in relief, my shoulders slumping slightly. So he is here.
"Let her in" Kye-sook instructed. The guards obviously hesitated, but followed his orders.
I strode through, coming up to Kye-sook's side.
"Your lucky you where childhood friends with Soo-won" He scowled.
"I guess I am" I smirked, looking around the castle.
The mood was a lot happier then the last time I had visited. Servants generally had smiles on their faces, which brightened at the sight of me.
We strode through the hallways and to a library near the back. Ah, this is the library for the kings. I had only been in here once, as most of it was classified. Kye-sook knocked on the door anyway.
"Come in" Soo-won called.
Kye-sook opened the door, and not bothering with manners, stepped in first. I smirked, holding open the door for him.
"Your guest has arrived" Kye-sook said. I heard the chair drag, as Soo-won stood up.
Kye-sook stepped out, shooting a warning glare back at him. I winked and stepped in side the room, shutting it behind me.
"King Soo-won" I greeted, bowing once I was out of the doorway.
"Azumi! Your okay!" Soo-won gasped, running over and hugging me tightly. I didn't know how to respond for a second, but soon relaxed, raising an eyebrow.
"Is this the sought of actions a king should be taking?" I smirked as he pulled me tighter into his chest, pressing my head against his shoulder.
"Please, just call me Soo-won. And I was so worried... What happened?" He asked, not letting my go. I tensed slightly, but he caught it, and leaned back, trying to look into my eyes. I looked away, sighing.
"It's truly not important... If I'm to be honest, it was just me being an idiot" I said.
"And how did the fire tribe treat you?" He asked.
"They have amazing hospitality" I chuckled.
"Is that so?" He asked, sensing my sarcasm.
"They obviously sugar coated everything. They where probably hiding some thing from me, knowing that I could report it straight back to you..." I hummed thoughtfully.
"By the way, are you going to let me go?" I asked, returning to my gaze. He turned red slightly and stepped back, rubbing his neck sheepishly.
"You shouldn't be acting foolishly. A lot of people where worried about you" he said, crossing his arms.
"I guess so..." I muttered, looking off into the distance again.
"Do you know about the fire tribe's plans?" I asked, leaning against the wall.
