Thirty-nine, I don't participate in crime

     I paced my room before settling at my desk. looking around I decided that I should just write. My phone was dead, so I just decided to use a notebook I found laying out. I begun writing;

Dear life,

I'm writing here to tell you just how crazy these past months have been. First of all, you know that huge fight between Lily and Alex? Well it ended. And it went down in flames. Lily apologized publicly and said all she did- I don't think I would have survived all that. I mean yea you can shred my clothes, but not ruin my career.
Anyways, after all that happened, Alex told her side and explained that she could never forgive Lily and that we have to get over it. Honestly they were both brutal, but I guess Alex had a reason to be. lily kinda just flipped.
On the bright side, me and Scott are talking. Like TALKING talking. He's sweet, and it's been about three months since he broke up with Lily. We just got really close and at Vidcon we realized that we have too much in common to not go for something. We're both moving to London, considering I hate living with lily and her drama, and he just misses his friends.
Jess and Callum got married last week. It was cute and by the river of Alex's home town (it was absolutely stunning there.) They finalized the papers in England of course, but they had the ceremony here. Lily brought her new boyfriend (his name was like Jake or something) and honestly it ruined most of it. He kept picking fights and she just encouraged it. Let it be known that I don't stand for this.
    Alex is doing great in college. I hear she's in the top 8% of her class, which is better than what I did. Everyone is doing great though. I think that's all for now.

See you later,
Marielitai.

    I shut the book and put it into a drawer, standing up. I paced the room before I realized the time. Quickly, I changed out of my pajamas and shoved on an outfit (ie: a grey knitted sweater, some lil booties, an infinity scarf and some leggings) and headed for the door, grabbing my dead phone.
I ran down the stairs, avoiding what else was going on, and jogged down the street. I can't be late again! I thought to myself. I was out of breath after a couple of blocks so I just started to walk. For a bit now our little crew has been going down to Skye's place for pizza and game night every Thursday night and only twice have I been on time.
I rounded the corner and pushed open the door, gasping for breath. Everyone was sitting in the corner booth so I walked over and sat on the end by Scott. "Right in time," Alex laughed as I got reoriented. I rolled my eyes and smiled. Everyone seems to be back to normal now. It's just me, Scott, Alex, Oli and  Skye here, Chai already left for England. Turns out America really isn't all it's made out to be.
     Skye put the pizza in the center and sat on the other end of the booth. Scott put his arm around me as Oli started dealing out Cards Against Humanity. We laughed for a bit while reading our cards before playing, as you do. I can't go in depth of what our plays were considering.. well you know.
     After a bit we just sat there and talked about life. We seem to do this every week, but we just thing it's funny how our lives play out as a terrible episode of Friends. I leaned into Scott as we talked about what was going on. Turns out that Alex and Oli are trying to buy their house and are going to be getting a dog soon, which is just so cute.
      We ended the night with all of us going our separate directions.. and by that I mean we all got in separate cars to go to Alex and Oli's place. This happens most every week and it's the best. We make huge forts and have nerf gun wars. But I won't tell the specifics, it's a sacred ritual of the meme team.

End of thirty nine, I wish you were mine.
