Malec- Life After [COMPLETED]

Back again

The weekend was over now and school came rolling around again, everyone decided they were gonna stay a little while longer. And of course we said yes, they're our family after all.

So when the annoying sound of my alarm rang I had to get up to turn it off, I gently lifted the blanket off of me trying not to wake Magnus. I got up and slid the door open and quietly closed it again. When I turned around I suddenly smelt the deliciousness of pancakes. 'The fact that it's delicious shows Izzy isn't cooking' I thought to myself.

When I turned the corner I saw that it was Clary 'Whats she doing up so early'. Her back was turned away from me, obviously keeping an eye on the pancakes to avoid any burning.

"Hey" Alec said startling her slightly

"Omg Alec you scared me" Clary took a breath and continued "Hi, morning. Want any pancakes?"

"Uh sure, but it'll have to be quick, I'll be heading off soon" Alec told her sitting down at the table "Question"

"Yes?" She asked

"Why are you awake so early?"

"I couldn't sleep, so I decided why not cook, it's the only thing I'm good at other than drawing" she said

"Hey that's not true. But are you okay? Why couldn't you sleep?"

"I don't know" she said sliding him a plate and a bottle of syrup as she sat down across from him with her own plate "I've just been feeling weird these past few weeks"

"Has Jace picked up on any of this?" Alec asked

"It's Jace, what do you think?" Clary said

"Yeah I guess so, you'd think after all these years in school he'd have learnt some things" Alec said causing Clary to chuckle

"So enough about me, how are you doing. I mean going to college and having the twins to take care of and all" she asked taking a bite of her pancakes

"It's been going great" Alec said stuffing his face with the pancakes "And Magnus, he's been great. The twins call him 'Papa' can you believe that"

"It's cute, I'm happy for you Alec, and if you ever need any help with anything I'm only a call away" Clary said

"Thanks Clary, That means a lot" Alec said.

He put down his knife and fork and stood up and then put them in the sink and washed them just as he heard one of the babies crying.

"Oh I can get that" Clary said

"Do you mind?" Alec asked

"No not at all, don't worry" Clary said rushing off to calm whoever one was awake.

"Alexander" a voice said coming up behind him, he didn't have to turn around to know who it was.

"Hi, morning" Alec said

"Well for it to be a good morning it requires for-" Magnus was cut off by Alec who turned around to look at him drying his hands with a towel

"2 things. Number 1 I said 'Morning' not 'good morning'. And number 2 I swear we've had this conversation before, and that's why I do not put good in front of Morning anymore" Alec said moving closer towards Magnus wrapping his arms around his waist "So tell me what are you all glum about?"

"Leaving me with everyone, and I did not get to wake up with a beautiful face to greet me" Magnus said as Alec leaned in to shut him up "This-does-not-make-up-for-it" he said in between kisses

"Children in the room guys" Jace's voice said around the corner.

They stopped kissing to see Jace and Clary with Emma and Matt in their arms.

"Now I'm blaming you because I was peacefully asleep until your daughter screamed in my ear" Jace said tickling Emma making her giggle

"Well she is your niece" Alec said

"Yes, and my nephew was nice enough to stay asleep for a while but these two" Jace said directing to Matt and Emma "must have something that we don't know about allowing them to communicate"

"Do you know how crazy you sound right now" Magnus said stepping forward "now give my my daughter" Magnus held out his hands and Emma instantly reached for him.

"Dada" Matt called holding out his arms for Alec to come get him. Which he did, he didn't care if he was going to be late.

"Hey buddy" Alec said "Wanna help Dada pick out something to wear?"

"I wouldn't trust him on that, last time we went shopping he tried to put you in a dress" Magnus said

Jace held his stomach from laughing to hard. "Well did you put it on?" Jace asked

Alec didn't bother answering and just left, he got to the hallway when he heard Emma calling for him. He turned back to see Jace still dying of laughter and Clary trying to quiet him down to not wake the others.

"What is it honey?" Alec asked

She held out her arms for Alec "Uppie" she said.

"Come on, you can both be dada's stylists today" Alec said taking Emma from Magnus' arms, he had Matt on one hip, and Emma on the other.

Alec got them to sit down on the bed that had not been made up yet trying to keep them entertained. It's a good thing that they have such good taste in clothes because they pointed at black jeans and a dark blue shirt, and Alec picked out a hoodie. Alec kneeled down to be at their eye level.

"Dada has to go now" he said

"Noooo" Emma and Matt said

"Dada stay" Matt said

"Ohh, Dada can't stay, but I will be back later okay"

"Papa?" Emma said

"You guys are going to spend the whole day with Papa, and uncle Jace, Simon and Raphael, and auntie Izzy and Clary. How fun is that" Alec told them putting on a smile tickling their tummies. They both giggled and fell back into the bed as Alec carried on, not realising someone coming up behind him.

"Boo" Magnus said "what happened to getting to lessons on time huh" he said laughing

"Well it's hard when you got two little monsters that you feel bad leaving" Alec said "And a big monster" he said poking Magnus in the side

"Yeah, Yeah" Magnus said squirming out of the hold sitting on the bed his back on the head rest, the twins crawled up to him and sat on his knees "See were perfect"

"I know but-"

"Alexander go, we're fine. Plus you're gonna be super late if you don't leave now" Magnus said

"Okay" Alec said and walked towards the door but turned back "Just remember to-"

"Give them their morning bottle" Magnus cut Alec off knowing what to do

"Oh and don't forget to-"

"Feed the cat, Alexander I know trust me now go. Learn something" Magnus said

Alec placed a kiss on each of their foreheads and ran out shouting his goodbyes to everyone.
