Magnus POV
We'd been dragged out of bed way too early in the morning by no other than Izzy Lightwood.

Another thing we can thank her for is waking up the twins early now they're going to be cranky all morning.

And that's why we were downstairs as I held Emma as she lay her head on my shoulder, and Matt did the same but on Alec's.

"I'm sorry again" Izzy told us

"It's okay Izz, we do this for a couple more minutes an they'll be fine" Alec said rocking Matt

As he said that Matt piped up and squeezed Alec

"Morning Dada"

"Morning bud, what do you wanna do today?" Alec asked him

"I thought Izzy wanted to go shopping?" I asked him

"She does, but don't tell me you'd rather go shopping than spend the day with these faces" Alec said stepping closer and squishing his face against Matt's.

"You got me" I said

"I know" Alec said giving me a peck on the lips

We ended up spending the day outside, sure it was cold but we couldn't say no.
We dressed them up in some cute, warms clothes, put some hats and gloves on them and wrapped them up in scarfs.

We left the house and held on the twins hands as they skipped down the walkway.

"Can we go to Java?" Matt asked excitedly

Java is a little cafe about a 10 minute walk from here that we went to last time we were in London and the kids seem to have loved it.

"Okay let's go" Alec said as we walked past all the houses

We entered Java the little bell jingling on the door. Matt and Emma dragged us both to a table that we sat at last time that's by a window in the corner.

"Oh man I don't remember it being this noisy" I said sliding onto the seat

"Businesses must've gotten big" Alec said

A waitress came over soon as we sat down and I couldn't put my finger on it but she looked so familiar.

"Hi, welcome to Java, I will be taking your order today" she said smiling when she looked down at us her face brightened up "Omg Alec, Magnus I haven't seen you both in years. And these two are so adorable" she said directing to Matt and Emma

A wind of realisation came over me as I realised who stood in front of us.

"Paige?" I said getting up wrapping my arms around her, when I let her go Alec stood up and gave her a hug

"Omg it been so long, how've you guys been?" Paige's asked us

"It's been good" I said

"Still with Magnus I see" Paige joked to Alec as they laughed

"Of course he's still with me, why wouldn't he I mean have you met me" I said

"Yes I have and I never regret it" Alec said smiling at me

"Dada, who's this?" I heard a small voice from behind, as I turned around I saw that Emma was stood up in the booth

"This is Paige honey, I used to work with her when mommy had you both in her tummy" Alec told her

"Where's mommy now?" Matt asked curiously

I saw a wave of sadness hit Alec as he sat down by them bringing them up close to him.

"Remember that picture of the lady in the baby book I showed you?" Alec asked them

"Uh huh, she was very pretty" Emma said

"Well that's your mommy" Alec said

"Where is she?" Emma asked

"Well um...mommy got hurt you see and she had to go"

"Where'd she go?" Matt asked

"She went to heaven buddy"

"Mommy's with the angels" Emma yelled getting the little cafes attention, she even looked at me to see if it was true

"Yeah honey she is" I said as I sat by them

"Why'd she have to go?" Matt asked upset

"Well after she got hurt the angels saw and she had to go, so she wouldn't be hurt no more" Alec said

"Will she come back?" Emma asked

"No honey, mommy can't come back. But she loves you both very much" I said

"Can we go see her then" Matt asked

"Yeah we can" Alec said as I saw the hurt in his eyes
