Mess

Magnus POV
We'd been home for about 3 days now and we were all in the living room chatting whilst Maryse was cooking dinner.

Matt and Emma were on the floor in front of us playing with their blocks when Izzy suggested a game.

"Truth or dare"

"No" we all said

"Come on we haven't all done this in ages, not since high school" she said

"Well we were young then" Simon said

"Some of us still are" Jace said running his hands through his hair

"Sure you are honey" Clary said patting his chest

"Come on it'll be fun"

"Fine" we all gave in

"Okay, Magnus Truth or dare?" Why am I always first

"Uh...Truth" I said

"Boring, But Okay I got one" Jace said with a mischievous grin "Bane?"

"Yes my names Bane" I said

"How is my brother?"

"How's your brother at what?"

"Oh I think you know"

"Jace!! Children are present" Alec said

"Oh come on just answer"

"He's good" I said not wanting to get into detail but Alec thought otherwise

"Good? What'd you mean good?"

"Here we go, anyone have popcorn" Jace said looking around

"I mean your great babe, the best I've ever had" I said giving him a peck on the lips

"Ugh, That was it. God so anti climactic" Simon said

"Can we please just carry on" Alec said

Everyone has had at least 3 goes now and we got called into the kitchen

"Dinners ready" Maryse shouted

We all sat down and ate our meal; Lasagna.

"Mhm I haven't had food this good in ages" I said

"What about my chilli last week?" Alec asked

I just kept looking down whilst everyone else laughed. I mean Alec is a great cook, sometimes. He's good at making pancakes if that counts, and he makes a pretty mean steak.

"Alec, Jace you're doing the dishes" Maryse said once we all finished

"How do we always get stuck with doing the chores, what about Izzy?" Jace said

"Do we need to remind you the last time she cleaned the dishes and somehow managed to brake a pipe without even going near it" Robert said

"No need you just did" Jace said picking up the plates as did Alec

God it took a while to wash all those dishes and to get them super clean and dry.

"So how's it going with Clary and the baby?" Alec asked him drying a plate

"It's going good, and the baby kicks every night it's amazing"

"God I remember when I was in your situation it was like they were throwing a rave in there and they still haven't stopped now that they're here" Alec laughed so did Jace

"Yeah" Jace said

"Hey you're gonna be a great dad" Alec told him

"Uh huh, sure" Jace said pushing his shoulder

"I'm serious dude, your gonna be great"

"Stop being so sappy" Jace said splashing water in Alec's face

"Oh, you ain't getting away with that" Alec said picking up the sponge and throwing it at Jace.

Soon enough they were both soaking wet and trying not to fall on the slippery floor whilst laughing

"DADDY STOP IT NOW" They heard a little voice yell

As they looked at where the voice was coming from they saw Emma there with her her eyebrows flourished and hands on her hips looking at them both

"Hey honey" Alec said laughing

"YOU MAKE MESS" she yelled again

"Don't worry honey I'll clean it up, me and uncle Jace were just having a bit of fun" Alec said punching Jace in the arm

"You not supposed to make a mess though, even if you do have fun" she said

"Well sometimes you can just don't tell Papa or grandma about this okay" Alec told her

"But Dada you always tell me and Matt 'No messes inside that's bad'" she said

"Well done Alec at least you taught your daughter one thing, might be the wrong thing but you thought her something" Jace said laughing pushing the hair out of his hair

"PAPA" Emma yelled

"Emma no"

"What is it honey" Magnus came into the kitchen with Matt on his hip "OMG, what did you do?"

"It was all Dada, I told him no mess but he didn't" Emma said

"After all those lectures we've gotten off of Dad about messes, god Alexander" Magnus said

"We better clean this up before mom comes in" Jace said taking the mop out

"It's gonna be a long night" Alec said

"I no help" Matt said sliding down of off Magnus' hip and running off
