13 years later

They'd moved back to their hometown a couple years after their wedding wanting to move closer to their family, plus Alec got a job out there so it helped having a reason to move down there. Alec and Magnus were now 36, and had adopted 3 children over the years. They adopted two brothers 10 years ago, Raphael is now 13, and Max is 11. After a while they started talking about how nice it would be to have another daughter, and for Emma to have a little sister. So 5 years ago they had a surrogate, and surprisingly it turned out to be a girl and they named her Everleigh.

Today was the twins' 16th birthday, 16 years ago today they came into this world and gave Alec the best gift he could have ever asked for.

"Everleigh where's my lipstick" was the first thing he heard from Emma that morning since she told him and Magnus the day before that she wants to get ready without anyone talking to her.

"I don't have it" she shouted back at her

"Ev please I need it, look I promise to give you a make over tomorrow if you give it to me now" she asked kneeling down next to her

"Okay" Everleigh said handing over the lipstick as Emma headed back up the stairs

"Am I allowed to say good morning to you yet" Alec shouted up at her

"No" she yelled back down to him as he head her door shut

Alec laughed at this as he felt a pair of arms wrap around his waist from behind.

"Hey" Magnus said

"Hi, I thought you weren't supposed to get out of work until 3" Alec asked turning around to look at him

"I got off early, wheres the kids?"

"Well Ev's over there making a birthday banner for Matt and Emm, and Matt's in the back playing football with Max and Raphael" he said as he looked out the window to see Max running with the ball to have Matt pick him up over his shoulder and spin him around with Raphael running behind them as he tried to tackle them to the floor. Matt pretended to fall to the grass as he was jumped on by his brothers.

"DAD" they heard Emma yell from behind them running up to Magnus giving him a hug "Omg I thought you weren't home until later"

"I couldn't miss my princess' 16th birthday now could I" Magnus said as he took a better look at his daughter "Wow you look beautiful"

"Thank you" she smiled

"Don't I get a hug I haven't seen you today" Alec asked her holding out his arms, Emma filled them without a second of hesitation "Happy birthday baby, I love you" he told her kissing her forehead

"Love you too" she said as she pulled back "Where's Matt?" Alec answered her question by pointing at the door

"Thank you" is all she said as she rushed out the door to see her brothers roughing it out on the floor

"Come join us sis" Matt smiled at her

"No way you guys are a mess and I've just gotten myself ready" she told them holding up her hands

"When's that ever stopped you" Raphael spoke

"It's because her boyfriends coming over, that's why" Matt mocked

"ooooo" they all laughed

"Haha very funny and no it's not just because Jake's coming over"

"Then what's it about?" Max asked sitting on top of Matt

"It's because..." she said as she turned around and slowly walked to the door "OF THIS" she shouted as she picked up the hose pipe and started spraying them with water

"EMMA" they all shouted as she ran up to them

Matt tried to snatch the hose from her aiming it up so it was like rain falling onto them

"What is happening out here" Everleigh stormed out with her hands on her hips with her mouth wide open "OMG, what are you doing"

"Come on Ev's" Raphael said pulling her over to them underneath the water

Everleigh screamed and giggled as water sprayed all over her. Matt and Emma fell to the ground as they pilled on top of them.

"Should we be worrying that our family will be over in less than 30 minutes and their all out there muddy and soaked?" Magnus asked as they watched them from the window

"mhm, naa, let them have their fun" Alec said laughing

"I love you"

"Love you too" Alec replied as Magnus took hold of his hands and ran out the door joining their kids

"Agh" they both yelled as they got hold of the second hose and started spraying the kids on the ground, the 5 screamed as the cold water made impact.

Soon enough they were all laying on the floor completely drenched in water just laughing and making jokes. They'd been having too much fun they didn't realise the time as they heard the doorbell ring.
